How can we know that Trump was correct about the wiretap?

Two days later, the claim remains undenied.

Obama's lawyer wrote up a piece saying it was a cardinal rule that the WH never dipped into DoJ business, and we all know a president wouldn't personally appear before a FISA court to seek a wiretap.
