"Obamacare is a flat out failure. Period."-tvdunce
No, it has been very successful for a lot of people--millions, in fact.
Has it been successful for everyone. No. But it absolutely is not "a flat out failure. Period."
"He said "lack of transparency" was a huge advantage because the voters were stupid, and those who favored Obamacare were indeed stupid."-johnflubs
Okay, for the sake of argument, let's stipulate to that.
Now, why haven't you said a single critical word about the "lack of transparency" of the Republican bill that a handful of old Republican men put together in complete secrecy behind closed doors and that McConnell was so embarrassed by that he had to extract a promise from Ryan that it wouldn't become law? There wasn't a single hearing, unlike the many for Obamacare. How is the Republican bill any more transparent? Why in the world should anyone have voted for a bill produced in an even less transparent way?
But you hypocrites don't care about that because it's your guys doing it this time.
"When this whole repeal thing popped up, the Left began saying people would die without Obamacare."-johnfoibles
So now you're just going to pretend you didn't say the CBO claimed it, eh johnny?
Dishonest scumbag.
"As Prof Gruber admitted, the ability to lie to Americans helped Obamacare because, as he said, voters were often stupid."-johnflubs
You mean in EXACTLY the same way Republicans had the ability to lie to Americans over the 'repeal' bill that no one had a chance to read?
You are criticizing an earlier mistake and are now stubbornly insisting we should have repeated that huge mistake.
By anyone's standards (even hypocrites like you, johnny) that's really stupid.
Every one of you clowns is here criticizing Obamacare but not a single one of you are defending or promoting the Republican 'plan'. Why is that?
It's probably because you don't know what's in it.
