A 2010 Obama directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administration’s potential use of military force against Americans.

The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones, in operations against domestic unrest.

This appears to be the latest step in the administration’s decision to use force within the United States against its citizens,” said a defense official opposed to the directive.

Directive No. 3025.18, “Defense Support of Civil Authorities,” was issued Dec. 29, 2010, and states that U.S. commanders “are provided emergency authority under this directive.”

“Federal military forces shall not be used to quell civil disturbances unless specifically authorized by the president in accordance with applicable law or permitted under emergency authority,” the directive states.

“In these circumstances, those federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the president is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances”

A second use of the military force against Americans is justified when federal, state and local authorities “decline to provide adequate protection for federal property or federal governmental functions as deemed appropriate by the President or his representatives.”

There you have it my friends, Hitler did the same exact thing. Obama plans to use force against those who fail to fall in line, if local, State and Federal Law Enforcement decline to use force against Americans, Obama has given himself the authority to use the military to do so. Now it's also clear why Obama has been pushing to take weapons away from Americans while heavily arming those agencies he controls.

Snake, I am afraid that the referenced Posse Comitatus Act, when taken at face value, is just as useless as most any of the hundreds of thousands of other laws in these great United States.

They (government) will do as they please. Plain and simple.

Look at the changes in Obamacare throughout the implementation. One example of illegal modification of a law duly passed by congress.
Look at selective enforcement of the illegal alien laws....who gives them the right?

So, reality to me is that when the Government wants to do something, they simply do it. Very seldomly have repercussions ever been felt by the "changers".

He hightailed for Mexico, and successfully hid out for quite a while...maybe a year or more, if I remember right.
The feds located him, got in their black SUVs and went to Mexico, grabbed him and came back.
No legal extradition proceeding...nothing like that. They just went and got him.

Feds just go and do what they want. And they then look for loopholes, subtleties, etc, that they can use to justify their lawlessness.
