WASHINGTON – Steve Bannon, former President Donald Trump’s political strategist, was indicted by a federal grand jury Friday on two charges of criminal contempt for defying a House subpoena seeking documents and testimony as part of an escalating congressional inquiry into the Jan. 6 attack.

The Justice Department's decision to pursue the flamboyant Trump stalwart came three weeks after the House referred the case to federal prosecutors following Bannon's repeated refusal to cooperate with a special House committee's inquiry.

I'm wondering if we can all go around and ignore subpoenas, or is that just some privilege reserved for traitors and insurrectionists who think they are above the law?

On a side note....do you know who is not being arraigned right now?

Drum roll please................

The Clinton entourage is known for their faulty memories under oath, but Bryan Pagliano is setting a new standard. The former Clinton aide chose Tuesday to ignore a congressional subpoena. .."

"Something like the first time since 1954 that anybody has been charged for that."-johnflubs

So what?

Are you actually suggesting that the Justice Department shouldn't enforce the law just because is wasn't enforced in the past?

More partisan hypocrisy from our resident conservative 'law and order' contemptuous-officer-of-the-court hypocrite.

"The question, of course, is, does Clown look the other way when the Democrats violate the law...?"-sillydummy

Of course I don't "look the other way when Democrats violate the law" dummy.

"He will never give a straight answer.... "-sillyliar

There, I just gave you a straight answer, silly.

Now the question, of course, is does silly condemn or condone REPUBLICANS who violate the law? Let's see him give a straight answer regarding Bannon's clear contempt of Congress.

I believe he will never give a straight answer to this question..... :O

"johnforbes is not smart."-me

"His Lordship is not Agent 66."-johnflubs

Nobody is "Agent 66", dummy, so that isn't exactly a zinger. Smart's designation is 86. 99's is 99. Because your attempt at humor has no relation to the joke's premise, your failure rates a zero.

As I said, johnforbes is not smart.

Nor can he give a smart answer.

Nor is he Maxwell Smart -- a far more intelligent character.
