Political discussions about everything

Paul Ryan refused to endorse Trump, claiming he wants a nominee who bears "our" standard?

But what does "our" mean?

Millions of voters told spineless Ryan (who funded Obama's agenda) what they wanted, but the GOP Establishment still hasn't heard.

It was started by a dimwitted buffoon, johnny, but no matter...I'll help you out.

"Our standard" means people who subscribe to the Republican Party Platform, dimwit.
In other words, not Trump.

Here it is:
https://www.gop.com/platform/

All you "gung ho" military types should appreciate who's covered in "Section 8" of the Platform web page.

What Section 8 candidate sillydaddy is desperately trying to say is, he has nothing whatsoever to contribute to help johnforbes with this very serious topic.

As some sage noted supra, I have no idea who started this extremely worthwhile thread.

But it has enriched -- nay, illuminated -- my life.

We do know what "our" doesn't mean, it doesn't mean Republican voters who have made their choice.

“I think conservatives want to know, does he share our values and our principles on limited government, the proper role of the executive, adherence to the Constitution?” Ryan said. “There are a lot of questions that conservatives, I think, are going to want answers to, myself included.”

Ryan is the guy who, in a meeting with congressional leaders and Obozo, totally humiliated the Dear Leader with his knowledge of the economy. Obozo thought he was going to lecture the audience in his usual condescending style but instead got taken to school and embarrassed by someone who actually was intelligent and had all the facts . As a result he was furious, and it showed.

Then Ryan turns around, bends over and fully funds Obozocare and anything else this clown asked for.

It's time for a new Speaker.

It's time for a new Speaker.
When a speaker feels the wants and needs of voters are secondary to his, it's time for him to move on. Republican voters have spoken, you would think a speaker would listen.

Like many others, I had some hope for Paul Ryan as speaker.

But you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Upon becoming Speaker, Ryan instantly surrendered and funded Obama's entire agenda.

He needs to go become a K Street lobbyist (which he will do eventually anyhow).

It's unbelievable how quickly you clowns will turn on one of your own and tear him apart.
You aren't happy just tearing apart guys like Cruz whom you were telling us would be our savior just 6 months ago.

Ryan is a conservative of your own stripe, he told you clowns the conditions of his taking the job, then he did exactly what he said he would do when your clowns were begging him to take the job.

Just what do you fools want if not someone who tells you what he will do and then does it?

Conservatives believe in accountability, we don't drink anyone's kool aid, of course you wouldn't understand that clown, you still have your head up Hillary's ass so you're kept in the dark.

Republican voters have spoken, their representatives should respond accordingly or step down. Democrats may accept that the public works for "their" politicians but conservatives aren't so shallow.

Since you're a conservative, it can mean whatever you believe it to mean since belief is all a conservative needs.

The political opinions of Canadians are not being accepted at this time. It's bad enough I have to put up with the smoke from your forest fires. I suppose next we'll have to make room for Canuck refugees too, eh?

Check the front of a U.S. $20 in a couple years. It won't be an old white guy
By allowing Obama's many unprecedented executive actions Congress and the people have created an estoppel of their authority and powers of stopping future Presidents from doing the same. So when Trump puts George W. Bush's face on the $20 bill, libtards can scream abuse of powers all they want, they can't have their cake and it eat too. ;) Trump and future Presidents will have more power than any President, Obama has redefined the meaning and authority of presidential executive power.

Tool, "unprecedented" is not the same as "against the law".

The first means it has never been done before, and that's all it means.
The second means it CAN'T be done until the law is changed, dummy.
No President can put a living President's image on money.
A President can't change the law. Only Congress can.

So I guess we saw the part of "unprecedented" that YOU don't understand.

The conservatives go far right wing and elect teabaggers who went out and engaged in obstructionist politics then shut down the government. Now they are screaming bloody murder that the government is "broken" and they have chosen a dimwit who is clueless about government policy and could really care less about the constitution to "fix" what is "broken."

The far right claim that Ryan and McConnell are establishment. They are not middle of the road republicans, the both are really conservative. And make compromises to keep the government running without taking any blame when the teabaggers go off the reservation.
