Political discussions about everything

As expected, the traditional conservative Cruz did better in Iowa.

No surprise, and gears are instantly shifting for Dem and Repub candidates to NH.

Now it's time for all of us to engage in a little amateur political analysis. The real result of this election, in my opinion, is that the electorate is fed up with politics as usual and the parties have staked out their philosophical turf hoping that the electorate will embrace their view. If the nomination goes per Iowa, the electorate must choose far right or far left, no in between. The best result for me is that "Tax The Rainfall" O'Malley has been knocked out of the race. I'd vote for Josef Stalin before I'd vote for O'Malley. I think that Hillary is in trouble and that Sanders just might be the Democratic nominee. If no one wins the nomination on the first ballot watch for Biden to slip in there.

Ted Cruz 51,649
Donald Trump 45,416
Marco Rubio 43,132
Ben Carson 17,393
Rand Paul 8,478
Jeb Bush 5,235
Carly Fiorina 3,483
John Kasich 3,473
Mike Huckabee 3,344
Chris Christie 3,278
Rick Santorum 1,783
Jim Gilmore 12

Gilmore and O'Malley are probably just putting their names out for future political appointments.

O'Malley's net worth is zero, so he needs some political gig.

As to the caucus, Trump did very well in a meaningless state. So did Cruz. But next week will tell the tale of NH, and within the month we'll know much more.

Electoral College Votes:

California (55), Texas (38), New York (29), Florida (29), Illinois (20) and Pennsylvania (20).

Iowa – 6

Iowa is just symbolic in the election, if you don't take the majority of the big six you're in trouble.

I don't go in for any religious, superstitious claptrap, but there is something borderline demonic about the ultra sleazy Cruz.

That's exactly the type of persona the devil himself would adopt to Pied Piper to the evangelical ignorati.

You know.....I have to agree with you here. Something about that shiny face.....just a bit weird.
Hard to look at him when he is speaking.
But he shares my political values, and I do think he would do a more "political" job than Trump.

What I find distrubing is that...although Grog says he doesn't believe in....as he puts it...

religious. superstitious claptrap.....He believes in Satan! :?:

HA HA HA!!! Now how could that possibly be?

Very good silly....

Trump once claimed that "we will have so much winning if I get elected, that you may get bored with winning."

And last night they came out and voted because they didn't want him to win...

By johnforbes
#68021
Elkin's comment is stupid, but it is true in the sense that winning is always better.

But Cruz won't win NH, or SC, or Nevada, will he?
By sillydaddy
#68024
Cruz started preaching and quoting scripture after his win last night so much so...

it was reported some voters said later they regretted having voted for him

I've been vaguely uncomfortable about Cruz all along, but I couldn't put my finger on why. I've heard several different people talk about why THEY are uncomfortable about him, but none of their reasons resonated with me.

Then the other day I heard a woman say that she didn't care for him because he reminded her of a sleezy used car salesman.

BINGO!

Cruz has some really slimy people on his staff, he needs to make a statement that he won't tolerate their conduct and fire them or else he's no better than Hillary. If he does maybe Rubio will ask him to be his VP.

You're JUST NOW seeing that about Cruz, after only one year of staring at his ugly mug?

What was it that finally gave him away? The warm hug and kiss he gave to his daughter who obviously loathes him?

Boy, you dim witted reactionaries are slower than molasses in January.

Imagine what staring into that abyss every morning must do to a man. :o

How old are you, Forbes? Seriously.

Does your mother know you're online?

Is it my reading comprehension again?

Or does it seem that Grog may be displaying a latent obsession and twisted preoccupation with children?

It's definitely your lack of reading comprehension abilities.

You pretty much reveal that with every post you make.

My favorite hiking stick is a twisted hickory.

But it is nowhere near as twisted as Grog.

Neither Chubby Checker nor Hank Ballard were more Twist-ed.

If you'd ever been in any kind of military service, you'd know that variations of "Does your mother know you're here?" is a pretty common insult.

You're doing great as always, simple Silly.

#68075
And that kind of stuff is why I asked you if your mother knows you're online.

Obviously neither yours nor Silly's do.

#68082
No. That's not what I'm saying at all. And anyone with better than fourth grade reading comprehension skills can see that. lol

Unlike you and Forbes and a few others around here, I am physically, mentally and emotionally mature enough that I don't require the kind of parental supervision you do.

But keep trying. Another fifteen years and you might be ready for the fifth grade.

Grog, that post is pretty telling, when a man has to try and convince others (over the internet) they're not a momma's boy and is mentally and emotionally mature, don't take this shit so serious...just saying dude.

Honestly, Tool, am I going to have to fire your ESL teacher?
That just barely resembles American English.

The Teabaggers down at the polls won't let you vote this November if you're still talking like an illegal immigrant.

Yesterday, a certain socialist entered a mosque to express sorrow at stereotypes.

Meanwhile, radical Islamic terrorists were living down to their own stereotypes.

America-hating leftists such as Clowntoker continue to behave like America-hating leftists.
By Clownkicker
#68125
johnforbes comes here mewling about stereotypes. And then what does he do?

He stereotypes me because he can't be bothered to think for himself and can't understand that I am not a "Leftist" nor a "Hillary supporter" nor "America hating" nor any of the other idiotic simplistic traits he attributes to me.
The only moron worse than he is is Insipid pretending that I'm a Communist.

johnforbes has never been able to refute a word I say, so he instead resorts to the intellectually lazy stance of stereotype labeling of those he can't argue against successfully.

As the wise man once said: "johnforbes is stupid."

I have assessed the record player and it seems in good working order.

However, I did check all my daily postings to assure their freshness and quality.

That is important in a bakery, and also crucial to the quality of my own important contributions to the onward march of western culture.

I offer this herewith:
