Michael Kortan, a spokesman for the FBI explained the outcome of the FBI’s forensic analysis of the server will depend on what steps were taken to delete and overwrite data on it, which could takes weeks or months to determine.

“Most people don’t understand really what it takes to actually delete things from a computer permanently,” said Peter Toren, a former computer crimes prosecutor for the Justice Department. “The FBI has had a great deal of training and they’re very good about recovering data from computers that people think have been erased or deleted.”

The FBI will also be trying to determine if the data was backed up on another server and hope to find clues during their examination of the server in their custody.
The big question is if Hillary is cooperating, why don't they just ask her and the person Hillary had wipe the server clean those questions? Something isn't being told.

Hillary says she did nothing wrong, so surely she'll be eager to help the FBI?

And why haven't ALL materials been seized from Hillary's gal pals like Cheryl Mills?

What servers did they use? Have they destroyed them yet?

Why does an innocent person delete 32,000 emails and then wipe the server?

Well yesterday Trey Gowdy asked the same question I did, why is the FBI saying it may take months to determine what methods were used to wipe Hillary's server clean before they can determine if the data can be retrieved? Hillary claims she's cooperating, just ask the person Hillary had wipe it clean what methods were used.

Gowdy pointed out it's as if Hillary has pulled a Lois Lerner and invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self- incrimination concerning questions on her server; he said there can be no other reason the FBI would have to spend months to find out what Hillary could answer in minutes.

I bet Gowdy is spot on, Hillary turned over her server because hey told her if she didn't they would serve a search warrant and seize it, but she's taken the Fifth on the subject of the server.

From ABC News:

The last batch of Hillary Clinton emails released by the State Department included one from Clinton asking to borrow a book called “Send: Why People Email So Badly and How to Do It Better,” by David Shipley and Will Schwalbe.

Clinton has not said why she requested the book, but it includes some advice that is particularly interesting in light of the controversy over her unconventional email arrangement at the State Department and her decision to delete tens of thousands of emails she deemed to be purely personal.

Take, for example, Chapter Six: “The Email That Can Land You In Jail.” The chapter includes a section entitled “How to Delete Something So It Stays Deleted.”

The chapter advised that to truly delete emails may require a special rewriting program “to make sure that it’s not just elsewhere on the drive but has in fact been written over sixteen or twenty times and rendered undefinable.”

Just announced today, now they've identified 60 classified documents among Hillary's emails...and they're only through 300 of the 30,000 emails. Hillary is acting surprised that as Secretary of State she would receive anything classified or sensitive.

This is a test for Lynch, who was appointed US Attny by Bill Clinton.

If DoJ goes after material from Hillary's aides, Mills and Huma whateverhernameis Abedin, then it is serious.

Otherwise, DoJ is not interested in violations of the law.
