Washington, D.C. – The Associated Press has reported that over 1,600 IRS employees have willfully committed tax evasion in a 10-year span; most still employed in spite of a 1998 law calling for termination in such cases. Even worse, it has been reported that many of the tax-evading agents were active in enforcing the federal tax laws they have broken.

The agents found many ways to evade taxes, including “improperly claiming dependents, repeated failure to file timely tax returns, and claiming a tax credit for first-time homebuyers when the worker didn’t buy a house.”

While only 25% of the willful violators were fired, the report revealed that some of these agents received “promotions, raises and bonuses” after being caught breaking the laws they enforce.

Moreover, the IRS has STILL not turned over all the email messages it falsely claimed were lost forever.

When the email was found in West Virginia, it was also found that the IRS had never even asked for it, so the IRS was in complete defiance of Congress.

The IRS has grown into it's own socialist government inside a government, they to large to fail and operate within their own vacuum immune to interference from outside of their operation. It's time for change and that change involves dissolving the present IRS and forming a public agency that reports to the people rather than the people reporting to it.

The IRS tax code is now 73,954 pages long, not even the IRS can understand or keep up with it, but some where in there is wiggle room for them to operate how every they want to operate, so that power is all the matters to them.

It's way past due for a flat tax sells so everyone pays their fair share with no exemptions. I would say food and medical cost should be the only items exempt from the tax, do away with all other taxes on individuals, which would allow a 80% reduction in the size of the IRS and save 100"s of billions every year in operating costs and those who avoid paying their share of taxes. Of course the rich (Congress and President) will never allow that to happen.
