They get pushed through the public school system and patted on the back for just showing up for class, grades are handed out to make them feel good about themselves and to keep the tax money coming in...then the graduates step out into the real world beating their chest with a sense of accomplishment and discover they're clueless and not prepared. The public school system used them as digits with no intent of providing an education, indoctrination and raking in tax money is their only agenda.

If you have the means to put your children through a private school and instead send them to a public school...SHAME ON YOU! If you don't, expect your child to also suffer from impostor syndrome when the light his shined on them.

Yes, we have many problems, but I rarely see real solutions from you that don't involve tearing down parts of our government, programs, customs or our President. As Warren Buffett asked in his letter to shareholders; how come there is not a mass exodus from the USA to greener pastures? Everyone must admit our public school system is broken and our children deserve better, that's all I'm saying and look at the whining liberals coming to the aid of the broken school system. I'm offering a solution for those who can afford it, private schools, for those of you can't afford it, demand the public schools be fixed and vote those out of office who don't take positive action to bring about changes our children deserve.

My public high school significantly improved my jumpshot, and it offered cultural activity such as arm-wrestling in the cafeteria and drag-racing after school.

The public school system of 20 years ago was a much different system than what we have today, I transitioned to a private university and was able to handle it. Private schools are the only real place to get a real education now days, sadly even private universities are having to dumb down their course for the incoming public high school graduates.

Even MIT announced last week that they're lowering their teaching standards and course requirements because students coming to them now can't handle it.
