I am a registered Republican but I must agree with your post. The GOP used to be the party of fiscal responsibility and (what I feel) common sense. Today, the GOP is ruled by the religious right, the no-government people (anarchists?), the no taxes at all people, the let everyone die that is not rich people, the bomb everyone but us people and the don't tell me what to do people.

I guess the reactions of the left concerning Chic-Fil-A can't be considered as radical and reactionary? I guess the fallout after the Travon Martin shooting with liberals calling for people to hunt down and kill Martinez and have been using it as an excuse to commit ever increasing levels of Black against White violence isn't considered racist? And I suppose that all the left rhetoric against Christians and Jews (Still a combined 80.2% of the population) and their seemingly blind allegiance to Islam and even radical Islam as shown by the opening of the DNC convention is not considered bigoted?

It seems as though there are plenty of wacko's on both sides of the aisle and it's delusional to finger point at one over the other when it's the blind hatred of people against other people just for differing opinions that is really destroying the country. I don't really understand why supposedly civilized people can't disagree in a civil manner without demonizing those on the other side of an issue.
