Political discussions about everything

An investor needs a reliable source of fake news.

Something you can depend upon.

Mr Forbes looks to The Babylon Bee for a reliable, dependable source of false information people can use:

"WASHINGTON, D.C. — Federal agent Ray Epps will step down from his role as head of PSYOPS at the end of the Biden administration, the agency said Thursday, ending a distinguished career of covertly manipulating the American people.

Epps said it was important to retire now and preserve his pension before he was forced out by Trump and lost it all.

"I've paid my dues," Epps said with a smile. "I've secretly been pulling the strings for the deep state a long time and it's time for me to enjoy my retirement before Trump gets on my case about inciting January 6.""

By the way, the Trump Curse finally caught up with Trump.... :O

Before the election Trump said many times that he would bring down grocery prices. Now he's saying in interviews that he can't bring down grocery prices. (Imagine how bad things could get if he starts deporting all the Mexicans he promised to deport, you know, the ones who pick our fruits and vegetables. I'm sure silly and his patriotic pals will be lined up to take those excellent jobs back from the "illegals".)

Before the election Trump said many times that he would bring down inflation and "Make America Affordable Again"
Now he's saying in interviews that he "can't guarantee" he can bring down inflation and admits that the tariffs he promised could result in consumers paying higher prices for things, though he "doesn't believe it." (Huh? :/ Every economist in the country believes it.)

Before the election Trump said many times that he would end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours. Now he's saying in interviews that the situation is far more complex than he thought, so he's not going to be able to do it in 24 hours. (What a surprise.)

Before the election Trump held "Little Marco Rubio" in contempt and ridiculed him for the "small hands" comment and other things, and silly didn't like Rubio any longer. Now Trump is making Rubio Secretary of State and silly will be here making a fool of himself telling us how great Rubio is now.

Before the election Trump said repeatedly that Social Security and Medicare wouldn't be touched. He claimed that benefits wouldn't be reduced and that retirement age wouldn't be increased by so much as "one day." Now Republicans are saying in interviews that "nothing is sacred" in the budget and everything is on the table, including extending retirement age and cutting SS and Medicare benefits.

Those of us who didn't vote for Trump already knew he was lying about all these absurd campaign promises. But it's going to slowly dawn on those clowns who voted for Trump that the obvious nonsense of all the promises they fell for were just lies told to dupe the millions of ignorant Republican voters, and they worked.

I wonder how all the "working class" Trump supporters now feel about all the billionaires and oligarchs Trump is going to have running his Administration as they laugh all the way to the bank with their renewed billionaire tax cuts. Even Steve Bannon knows this is a bad idea that will balloon the national debt an additional $3 trillion more than Harris' proposals would have. Even johnforbes knows this, but he will still be cheering the coming tax cuts and the increased national debt they will cause anyway.

The so called "fiscally conservative" Republicans don't seem to understand that the debt must be paid down in good times, and the money shouldn't be handed out instead to the wealthiest in the country like last time.

Oh please.

Republicans can't, and won't, touch Social Security or Medicare.

Clowntoker makes Joseph McCarthy seem ethical...
By Clownkicker
#138139
Oh please, indeed.
What's truly unethical is johnforbes pretending something I posted is "unethical". The truth is never unethical, johnny. Only dishonest Trump supporters are repulsed by the truth and think there is something wrong with it being spoken.

Notice johnforbes couldn't refute a word I said. He just gave us his unsupported opinion of what Republicans will do. johnny's unsupported opinion is like an asshole: everybody has one. Unfortunately, an asshole is not an argument or johnforbes would be unbeatable in a debate.

And even if there was some truth to his moronic, unsupported post about Republicans' plans for Social Security and Medicare, notice he had nothing whatsoever to say about all the other lies Trump told during the campaign that targeted the ignorant. What is unethical is that johnforbes would throw out an unsupported opinion about one fact while ignoring all the other facts he knows are true, as if that one unsupported opinion somehow erases all the other facts he can't dispute, not even with a bunch more unsupported opinions. johnforbes will desperately grasp at anything to fool himself into believing he wasn't just another ignorant useful tool of Trump.

Of course, there is nothing in my post above that is not true. As I said, nothing is unethical in telling the truth.
johnny's inability to do anything but toss another impotent ad hominum attack my way instead of refuting the facts I posted is proof in itself. When pussies have no facts to support their partisan views, they attack the messenger who exposes them, hoping nobody will notice their partisan lies.

But we did notice, johnny. Everyone did.

Here's some support for what I said about Republican plans for SS and Medicare:
"House Republicans are making the bill a priority, and the chairman of the House Budget Committee[Republican Jodey Arrington] said “everything’s on the table” regarding possible action to slow the federal government’s increasing level of debt, now at more than $34 trillion."-PBS
"The Republican Study Committee,[the House conservative caucus] a group that comprises about 75 percent of House Republicans, has released a budget that would raise the retirement age, decimate middle-class Social Security benefits, and privatize Medicare. Past versions of their plan have also included a stingier cost-of-living adjustment. That’s what Republicans mean when they say that “everything is on the table.”-Common Dreams

I didn't make it up, johnny. I only ethically posted the truth.
Please get back to us when you have some facts to support your assho....uh....your opinion, johnny.

And if you want to offer an opinion instead of facts, let it be your opinion of Trump's policies which virtually all economists agree would add $3 trillion more to the debt that Harris' policies would have. I'd really like to see the explosive diarrhea resulting from that hypocritical illness you suffer from.
By sillydaddy

"...virtually all economists agree ..." Where were these guys when the economy was going into the sh*tter...
Now that someone steps up...they start bitching about how he is gonna go about it.... :O

"Now that someone steps up...they start bitching about how he is gonna go about it...."

Nobody is "bitching" about how he is going to go about it. They are saying that Trump's promises on the campaign trail of blanket tariffs and tax cuts, if fulfilled, will raise prices and increase inflation. That isn't a political statement. It's a calculated economic forecast of the results of Trump's promised policies.

Just remember this, silly. Don't say you haven't been warned. You can't play dumb now when the economy's "soft landing" vanishes and you can't afford your McDonalds or the rent for your trailer hookup any longer.

Wait, aren't you one of those clowns who was predicting for years that the price of gold would go through the roof?
Well, you may finally be right. Just ask FOX Business--
"CRFB's analysis of the candidates' economic plans estimated Trump's plan would add $7.75 trillion to the debt over 10 years while Harris' plan would add $3.95 trillion. "-FOX Business

Now, after Biden and RINOs like McConnell and Cornyn and Ernst sent 250 billion into the sinkhole of Ukraine, now Clown has discovered that America is 36 trillion in debt?

Now, after illegal aliens are costing America 450 billion, Clown wakes up to budget problems?
By Clownkicker
#138150
Now, after johnforbes admits that he is aware the U.S. is $36 Trillion in debt, he still voted for Trump who promises to put the country even deeper in debt to the tune of an additional $3 Trillion more than Harris would have?

Now, after virtually all economists agreeing on this projected Trump promises debt increase, johnforbes sleeps through the budget problems?

Look at johnforbes squirm, desperately attempting to divert from his partisan hypocrisy, wildly pointing here and there; anywhere but at Trump. But johnforbes can no longer pretend it is Democrats who are to blame for the growing debt when he actively supports even larger Republican deficits. Ultimately he must point at Republicans, who now control the purse strings completely.

Nice man purse you have there, johnny. Or do you call it a Bro Sack these days?

That's not what your long-suffering wife meant when she told you to "Sack up!"
By johnforbes
#138169
The eyes of Mr Forbes, with excellent acuity, have noted the 35 to 36 trillion in debt.

Those eyes are green, and only a small percentage of global population have them.

So yes, it would not be good if Trump's tenure were to see higher debt.
By Clownkicker
#138172
johnforbes further demonstrates his adherence to Republican "voodoo economics" by telling us that debt is bad because he has green eyes. That sort of nonsense is the source of virtually all Republican economic policies. But it makes as much sense as all the other nonsense offered by Republicans over the past 50 years.

Remember the days when Democrats wanted limited tariffs put on trade to protect critical U.S. businesses? Republicans were irate, insisting that only "free trade" was good trade. They then proceeded to eliminate nearly all tariffs and penned trade agreements that wiped out most of our production of critical national resources, instead exporting those businesses overseas because things would be cheaper that way. Those chickens are now coming home to roost.

Today Republicans are applauding protective tariffs, the very things Republicans used to ridicule Democrats for supporting. Now mindless Republicans are demonizing free trade. Go figgur.

Who could have seen that hypocrisy coming? I mean who besides me, not johnforbes. Apparently green eyes make one colorblind to rational economic policy that is obvious to thinking people.
By johnforbes
#138176
Tariffs were used before income taxes, and a lively discussion might be had re their utility.

But, here in the real world, taxes sadly will not go away.

But sure, tariffs should be used to force Mexico to stop letting millions of illegal aliens use Mexico as a staging area for crossing the US "border" illegally.

As to green eyes, they are rare, and of course a sign of merit.
By Clownkicker
#138191
No, of course not, johnny. What you are is a Republican in the broader, modern sense; a Republican at heart; a Trump supporter; a hypocrite.

You're always trying to avoid taking responsibility for your indefensible beliefs, and you do this by refusing to admit, to or offer a defense of, your beliefs publicly.

You're an intellectual pussy.
By johnforbes

Clowntoker wouldn't recognize a substantive point if he tripped over it on Main Street.

johnny, when you vote a straight Republican ticket in every election and adamantly refuse to ever criticize the Republican Party, no matter how vile they get, that makes you a Republican. You are Party over country, as you demonstrate here on a regular basis.

Just because you are too chickenshit to officially register with the Party, it doesn't make you any less of a Republican. Hell, most of them are chickenshits one way or another too.

Being a RINO (like Trump) who doesn't believe in free trade is what makes you less of a Republican, but you're still a Republican in the modern sense-- opportunistic, amoral, ignorant, and self-centered-- just like all of your hypocritical authoritarian pals.
By johnforbes

Mr Forbes is straight, but rarely votes a straight ticket.

Clowntoker, of course, has not been straight since his torrid tenure in the seedy salons of fetid Frisco.

The Trump Curse is catching up with Trump yet AGAIN.

"Murder rates drop for third year in a row as Trump complains nation is ‘breaking down’

Although Trump declared in a Truth Social post Thursday that the U.S. is “breaking down” with violence, blaming the current administration’s “open borders,” data shows that rates of violent crime and murder actually plummeted in 2024.

Data from the Real-Time Crime Index from January through October 2024, collected from over 300 law enforcement agencies across the country, reveals that murder rates have dropped by nearly 16 percent from 2023 and by nearly 25 percent from 2022 in the same periods. Overall violent crime also dropped by 3.3 percent in 2024 from 2023, according to the index.

“Considering where we were just three or four years ago (soon after Trump’s stint in the White House), we’re basically looking at 5,000 fewer murder victims than in 2020, 2021 and 2022 having occurred in 2024,” Jeff Asher, co-founder of AH Datalytics and a former crime analyst for the CIA and the New Orleans Police Department, told ABC News.

In the wake of the New Orleans attack, which left 14 dead and dozens of others injured, many online — and even Fox News — speculated that the suspect was a migrant, but the FBI identified the driver as Shamsud Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Texas.

Still, the president-elect linked the mass murder to immigration. On Wednesday in the hours after the attack, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true. The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before.”

[But] Statistics show that immigrant crime rates are consistently lower than those of American citizens."-The Independant

Once again reality bites Trump in the ass, making him into a liar and a fool. And in so doing, it is biting the MAGGOT base (e.g. sillydummy and johnforbes) in the ass at the same time. Is nothing Trump said on the campaign trail actually true?

That's the way it goes with curses. What goes around comes around, unfortunately for Trump. Violent crime went up under Trump and continues to drop under Biden.
By Clownkicker
#138207
And AGAIN the Trump Curse is catching up with Trump:

"NY judge upholds Donald Trump’s conviction in hush money case and sets sentencing for January 10

A New York judge on Friday upheld Donald Trump’s conviction in the hush money case, rejecting the president-elect’s effort to throw out the jury’s verdict because of his reelection in November and set his sentencing for January 10.

Trump was found guilty by a jury in May on 34 counts of falsifying business records."-CNN

Gee, maybe nobody IS above the law...? Maybe being elected President doesn't mean you no longer have to answer to the law. What do you think, silly? :O
By johnforbes
#138210
That farce will be overturned on appeal.

And Trump should file for maicious prosecution and conspiracy against rights...
By Clownkicker
#138217
Only it WON'T be overturned on appeal, johnny.

Trump is a convicted felon---period.

And so-called "Law and Order" Republicans who claim to support the police couldn't care less. Trump supporters LOVE felons---when they are Republicans. Trump is even going to pardon the January 6 rioters convicted of attacking and beating police officers at the Capitol. And Republicans will cheer that as well.

But anyone else? "Lock 'em up and throw away the key."

Fucking hypocrites, every last one of 'em.
By Clownkicker
#138226
johnforbes' open contempt for our legal system is legendary.

But his mindless partisanship changes nothing concerning the fact that Trump is a convicted felon and that johforbes supports a convicted felon to run America. This reflects the entire value system of the Republican Party.

Notice johnforbes has never said that Trump isn't guilty of the crimes he was convicted of, because johnny knows perfectly well that he is.

johnny's only argument has always been that he doesn't think Trump (or any Republican for that matter) should ever be prosecuted for anything in New York, no matter how grievous the crime.

johnforbes' fundamental argument is that Trump is above the law. (which is a patently unAmerican thing for anyone to say or believe.)
By johnforbes
#138234
Thanks to Clowntoker for his candid admission that the legal analysis of Mr Forbes is legendary.

Clown is too kind.

Prosser on torts, Williston on contracts, sure.

But the erudition of Mr Forbes is more broad.
By Clownkicker
#138237
I'm glad to see johnforbes wholeheartedly applaud my previous post which explains how Trump is now correctly described as a convicted felon, and how johnforbes knows Trump is guilty of the crimes he was convicted of committing.

That is a rare position for a Trump supporter to take these days. Most still haven't got the faintest idea how our legal system works, nor why having a convicted felon in the White House is a bad idea. To Republicans it is a given that their representatives are criminals. That's why they voted for them in the first place.

To Republicans, Trump's criminal conviction is a badge of honor and rite of passage, much like when any thug gang member gets sent to prison.

And the Trump Curse is catching up with Trump again:

"Bannon’s Rage at Musk Suddenly Goes Nuclear as MAGA Meltdown Worsens
...what all this says about the horrors that Trump-MAGA have in store for us

"Over the weekend, Steve Bannon’s fury at Elon Musk truly went off the rails. Bannon, who has been feuding with Musk over immigration, vowed that he will run Musk out of the MAGA movement by Inauguration Day, suggesting this battle will continue once Donald Trump is in office. This battle exposes major divisions in the MAGA movement"-The New Republic

They've already started eating their own.

We can only imagine how poorly this bodes for all the other sycophants Trump has (momentarily) surrounded himself with to run his Administration. Chaos all around, no doubt, followed by another string of firings. After all, Trump only hires "all the best people" right? For some reason he just can't stand any of them.

Most of us had been praying that Trump's victory in November would signal a return to sanity for Clowntoker.

Sadlly, Clown's Trump Derangement Syndrome has merely been exacerbated.
By Clownkicker
#138258
When sillydummy talks about the "Trump Curse" johnforbes has nothing to say about silly's sanity.

When I point out the same Trump Curse coming back to bite Trump in the ass, johnnforbes pretends I am crazy. Now THAT's crazy.

I'm not the one feuding like a child in the Trump Administration. johnforbes has no problem at all with having children throwing tantrums in the White House. He condones it. Then he call ME deranged.

johnforbes can't even grasp that his blasé acceptance of such dysfunction at the top of our government is what is truly deranged. That's what his severe Biden Derangement Syndrome has done to his cottage cheese brain.
By johnforbes
#138262
Mr Forbes wishes good health to all.

He takes no pleasure in the sad fact that Clowntoker's Trump Derangement Syndrome has continued since 2016.

When Trump and Melania came down that escalator, Clown's few remaining shreds of rationality were incinerated in political hatred.

He was not alone, and the NY Times and LA Times and Washington Post and USA Today and ABC, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC were along for the ride into lunacy.

Trump was, just in October 2024, compared to Hitler and Mussolini, and then Trump was seen joking around with Obama, and then Zuck and the other tech moguls came -- hat in hand -- to Mar a Lago to kiss his ring.
By Clownkicker
#138264
johnforbes, by dint of his glaringly deficient education, seems to have missed the fact that businessmen and politicians from all over Germany ALSO came -- hat in hand -- to Berlin to kiss Hitler's ring in the late 1930s. And this doesn't concern johnforbes one bit. :/

johnforbes suffers under the delusion that "It can't happen here."

It's like déjà vu all over again.
By johnforbes
#138269
Comparing Trump to Mussolini and Hitler, as Democrats did in October 2024, that is one of the later stages of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

In reality, Clowntoker couldn't list 3 or 4 salient thing about Mussolini.

Like Biden, who calls climate an "existential" threat, the closest Clown has come to reading Sartre or Camus was when they were caricatured by Mad Magazine...
By Clownkicker
#138274
"In reality, His Lordship couldn't list 3 or 4 salient thing about Mussolini."-johnturdbreath

I have NEVER compared Trump to Mussolini so why would I talk about him now? I don't divert and distract like johnfuckhead does. Instead, I post facts and rational reasoning.

As far as Hitler comparisons go, Trump was using terms directly out of Hitler's speeches during the campaign, calling immigrants "vermin" and saying they were "poisoning the blood of our country". Like Hitler, Trump called his political opponents (Democrats this time) "animals" and "radical left thugs". Both Hitler and Trump said these things to dehumanize his opponents.

johnforbes doesn't even see the similarities between Hitler and Trump because what they said sounds self-evident to him. It's not just stuff Hitler said. It's stuff he himself says on a daily basis. Sadly, nearly every time there is a "thug" in the news, it is a rightist thug related to Trump and the Republican party.

I would like to believe that we won't have to talk about sillydummy's "Trump Curse" any more in the future, but the unfortunate fact is that Republicans are going to be screaming and whining and eating their own as Trump's (hopefully) last term in office runs out.
By johnforbes
#138275
If Clowntoker is one of those leftists who did not compare Trump to Mussolini, then Mr Forbes proffers his humble apology.

It is wonderful to learn that some small ray to sunlight managed to penetrate the dark recesses of Clown's Trump Derangement Syndrome...
By Clownkicker
#138282
Sadly, johnforbes (along with all the other Trump supporters) was too ignorant of history to realize that Trump was parroting Hitler on the campaign trail.

Now that he knows the truth, johnforbes didn't even try to deny that the comparison of Trump to Hitler is quite apt. Well, except that Hitler was a far more lucid speaker.
By johnforbes
#138284
Clowntoker does not speak German, and thus has no way to assess the lucidity of speech of various folks.

Clown does speak some Spanglish, but alas all of us here know what a hash he makes.

Kamala's word salad is the same...
By Clownkicker
#138298
What does johnforbes have to say about Trump's right hand billionaire Musk giving a Nazi salute to Trump supporters at a rally?

Trump supports him in doing so, just as the White Supremacists have been praising him for it.

"Historians say Musk clearly made Nazi salute – but supporter claims he was inspired by Roman greeting adopted by Benito Mussolini"-The Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... auguration

So I guess those guys CAN be compared to Mussolini after all since it's Trump supporters saying it's the Mussolini greeting.
By johnforbes

Oh come on, people swiftly found Taylor Swift and Komodo Harris making the same gesture.

In fairness to Clown, he is a proud graduate of the Schiff School for Creative Political Lies...
By Clownkicker
#138302
And once again johnforbes falls for childish propaganda that relies upon a digitally manipulated photo of Swift that has been debunked as fake. johnny would know this if he did the least bit of investigation of his handlers' lies.

Beyond that, Musk's Nazi salute is a video, not an out of context still image, where you can see him perform the entire salute.

Again, this stupidity on johnny's part is the result of his relying on partisan gossip sites for his partisan 'news'.

But what else can we expect from a doughnut?
By johnforbes
#138308
Clown's doughnut remark was glazed with sarcasm, and there was a hole in his argument.

No amount of sugary coating can conceal the powdery nature of Clown's argument.

He is boxed in.
By Clownkicker
#138311
Of course there IS no hole in my argument. The video proof is irrefutable.

Besides, if there were a hole in my argument, johnforbes would have pointed it out. But he couldn't. The video is damning.

Irrefutable facts are why johnforbes can never manage to box me in. Reality is always on my side. All johnforbes has on his side are phony digitally manipulated photos.
