Political discussions about everything

One would think with the way the Obama Administration with the support of Democrats in the House and Senate has taken this Country to it’s lowest level yet with it‘s socialist agenda and unbridled corruption, there would be no way Obama could be re-elected. Then you look at Nevada, they’re far worse off than most States and they just recently re-elected the most corrupt incompetent politician in America, Harry Reed…so who knows if Obama has a chance or not.

Who knows. What we do know is that your slam dunk for V-P, young Marco, is using his free time to work out and get manscaped and buffed to host the Young Log Cabin Republicans meeting at an undisclosed location somewhere near Tampa this week. Leroy is hoping you'll post some pictures of their manly conventioneering.

Typical liberal response to question about Obama, all they have is diversions "Hey discussing Obama's failures and corruption is boring, look over here at this shiny object"

realitycheck wrote:No but voter ID legislation that is designed to keep American Citizens from voting will have an effect. The GOP hates voters that way.

They cannot win a fair play election so republicans find ways to keep voter turn out low for democrats. Voted ID legislation is one of them. Cheating but legally within the system. Why ? Because they pass a law that would make election fraud legal.

As mentioned above that voter fraud is only .07 percent and that rarely sway election. But the benefits of lower turn out or suppressing the votes are actually the real agenda of the republicans.

That .07 doesn't represent the percentage of voter fraud, it represents the percentage of fraud that is "identified" then "successfully prosecuted" in a criminal trial. Plus the arguement that having to show an ID to to vote is unconstitutional doesn't hold water. You can't even drive a car or get social assistance without an ID, in fact failure to carry an ID can get you detained until you're probably ID'ed in many cases.

I'd like to take it a step further and require anyone wishing to vote have to submit a thumb print on the ballot on top of a valid and "current" photo ID. Voter fraud or assisting in voter fraud should be a mandatory 5 years in prison with forfeiture of all assets to help pay for the prison costs.
#11120
I have not seen, read, or heard of voter fraud changing any voting outcome. So to me their trying to fix a problem thats not there. There are so many legitimate problems in this country that need addressing, voter ID is an embaressment to even worry about.
In my view the republicans taking this route of creating voter ID requirements is turning off as many voters to their cause as will be turned away at the voting booth. Lets get to the real problems we face, it shouldn't be hard to find a few....
#11123
So by forcing thousands and thousands Of Americans to get pic ID's for the ability to vote due to a requirement that serves no purpose is what our govt should be spending its time with over other more important items? Not sure I can buy that argument...Explain why.

You will notice Justme and the other right wing tards ignored the thread I posted about how a soldiers wife could not vote because of the GOP laws that took her constitution right to vote away.

Reality facts....... none of that matter to the right wingers.

GOP UBER ALLES

That's because it's just another lie. As the wife of a soldier she's given a military photo ID card that identifies her as such and allows her to use military facilities, etc. Are you actually claiming she was denied a ID card by the military which didn't allow her to vote

I bet you that if democrats will pass a law declaring a national holiday election day (just as like in Australia I think) republicans will vote no against it.

The lower the voter turn out the better it is for republicans. Their base are highly motivated than the democrats. They also are in general well off than democrats so they have cars to go vote and can afford to take a day off to vote. Not to mention they can afford to stay in line for 5 hours and pay money to get a voter id.

Unlike with the majority of democrats who have 2 to 3 jobs, share a car with other family members to go to work, more bills to pay and more likely only gets minimum wage. They are more likely to just forego waiting in line in the DMV and missed work and spend money to pay for a voter ID.

I read in the news awhile ago that republican states requiring voter ID in the disguise of preventing voter fraud admitted in a sworn testimony that they have not found real evidence of voter fraud. But for public news consumption they say voter ID to prevent voter fraud but later when force in a sworn under the law testimony they admitted no real voter fraud existed or it was like only 5 people out of millions of votes cast.

There is no way in hell that republicans would agree to have national holiday on election day. That would be their greatest nightmare. They do the voter ID requirement because they can suppress votes for democrats.

The good thing is Americans are more aware now of the dirty tricks and hypocrisy of republicans. Its just a matter of time it will back fire on them.

Most likely than not...this post will turn out to be a lie. Right wingers tend to make up stuff as if it was natural like breathing air.

And even if they do get caught, they still double down on it. Pretending as if readers here are stupid that they will not read the entire post or does not follow the discussions here.

So much for left wing media bias right ?

You love to quote the media if it embarrasses the left but blame left wing media bias if they exposed the right wing lies and hypocriscy.

The hypocrisy on the right is beyond comparison considering they call themselves Christians.

Reality is that there is a surplus of events that embarrasses the left but only fabricated events of so called right wing lies...the very reason you'll see more protesters at Obama's convention than there was at Romney's, the media has lost all credibility just as the Nobel Peace Prize organization has. I'm betting even Hillary who hasn't missed a Democratic convention since 1968 will find an accuse to be to busy to attend this one.

What TM1482 doesn't get is that most military people that are denied the right to vote are denied it by politicians that don't send the ballots to the DOD in time to get them to the troops and because the troops are not near a base that has them.

As for the wife of a troop not getting to vote, the only way that could be true is if the above or if she was a foreigner that was not yet a citizen.

When you follow almost every case of our troops not getting to vote back to the source, it's some democrat that screwed them - Military voting history is about 70% republican, the democrats will do anything to suppress the Military vote.

Obama wants to enable illegals to vote by not requiring ID while sueing States to stop efforts to allow military members to vote.
The battle for presidential votes in the key state of Ohio is heading to court. President Obama's campaign has sued the state of Ohio over new rules for early voting designed to benefit members of the military who may be deployed to insure their votes count."President Obama's lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state's early voting period is an outrage."

jobs score :

republicans : 24 million
democrats : 42 million

Years controlled white house

republicans : 28 years
democrats : 24 years

republican economics does not work. Romney has the same economic policies like George Bush. Tax Cuts in a surplus economy, tax cuts in a recession, all tax cuts.

republicans here can't say what will romney do that is different from george bush who gave us recession and 911.

again :

republicans : only 24 million private sector jobs created
democrats : created 42 million private sector jobs.

We note with interest that while the Donk-O-Scum are wildly indignant over the possibility of a law requiring voters to positively identify themselves as to who they are and that they are legally qualified to vote, a valid photo ID was required to gain entrance to their convention hall.

Consistency is never in evidence in anything the party so ably and accurately represented by their logo, the common jackass, does.
#11746
No, honest people are outraged at the attempt by Republicans to suppress legitimate voters and the excuse of a non-existent problem with false identity voting. If Republicans actually wanted to reduce real voter fraud they would look at and controll absentee ballot voting. Since limiting real fraud is not the purpose, Republicans do not address real fraud.
#11754
If people don't want to or can't show a government issued ID card to vote then a right thumb print on the voter list would be an appropriate solution. A scan of finger prints after the election would quickly root out any fraud. Sharing the various death databases held by the Federal Government and State Governments would help to remove dead people from the rolls. If over the course of several elections no fraud attempts were made as evidenced by the fingerprint scans and verified ID's then we can put this all behind us.

BHO seems to have a much better chance of being successful in the next election than his record would support. Says a lot about the real motives of the electorate in voting him into office and supporting him now.

So why does the NAACP and Democrats including Obama suppress legitimate citizens from entering their conferences without ID's?

Because they are modern day Ku Klux Klan but do not wear the white robe. They video tape the conferences and try to edit it later to make the conference look bad to the public. Kind of a gotcha moment but is really not.

How about Karl Rove and the Koch brothers banning the media from covering their event ? Even renting the whole place just to shut it down for themselves. Why so secret ?

That's the best description of the NAACP I've heard, glad to see your coming around, thanks!

Back to if Obama will win this election, the biggest threat is happening this week as all of the help he has given to extremist Muslims comes back to bite his ass and they attack our embassies.

Notice how Obama is dealing with the situation, his first statement on the matter was to attack Romney then fly off to Vegas with Oprah Winfrey on board Air Force One for a fund raising to be followed up with an appearance on the Letterman Show. Obama says he is to busy to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next week but announced this morning he has invited Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi to meet with him in New York next week to discuss the movie that insulted the prophet Mohammad. Iran and Israel is on the verge of an all out war, our Embassies are on fire and Obama continues to skip intelligence meetings for 3 weeks in a row now...because he's to busy for trival matters that doesn't bring in money to his campaign.
#11818
Obama's chances to win have moved from 80% to 81%. That, not even counting Romney's latest blunder proving he has no Presidential leadership skills, no steady hand, no foreign policy skills. Desperation the the signal of Romney and his staff.
#11819
Obama and Hillary have officially went on an apology tour for the attacks on our embassies.
President Obama made separate calls to the presidents of Libya and Egypt saying “he rejects efforts to denigrate Islam" Obama announced this morning he has invited Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi to meet with him in New York next week to discuss the movie that insulted the prophet Mohammad.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the “Innocence of Muslims” movie disgusting and reprehensible. "We condemn the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims."

In the mean time Obama skipped intelligence meetings to attend fund raisers in Vegas and to prepare for an appearance on the Letterman Show.
#11821
All decent Americans agree with this policy and it's intent. It's no apology. It's an explanation of current American values. It's an attempt to bring peace and prosperity to Muslim countries. It's an attempt to bring peace and prosperity to Americans. It's an attempt to create international Muslim partners for America.

Only a totally bigoted moron intent on endangering Americans and their representatives around the world would attempt to create discord in the world as Romney and his few blind idiotic followers are doing.

As always, justupid proves his total lack of any value or values.
#11846

So Romney's stmt that American shouldn't apologize to terrorist for "their" actions caused the embassy attacks? Cut back on the wackey weed dude.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable
of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency. It will be far
easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the
necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to
have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more
serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools
that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less
likely to survive a multitude of Idiots such as those who made him their
president.
