Individual tax rates have been lowered, the standard deduction raised, and personal exemptions were eliminated.
Many itemized deductions have been removed.
The maximum corporate tax rate has been lowered from 35% to 21%.
Passthrough companies receive a 20% deduction on qualified income.
The plan encourages corporations to repatriate foreign earnings.
The act will add $1 trillion to the debt over the 10 years it's in effect.

We probably have spineless Paul Ryan to blame for the sunset provisions of the tax cuts.

They were nutty all along, and now leftist Biden will raise taxes by letting the cuts end.

Huh? "Biden will raise taxes" by somehow "letting" the Republican law continue to operate as it was passed years ago by Republicans without his vote? How do you even believe such idiotic partisan bullshit? You do understand that Biden can't pass any laws any longer, right? McConnell won't even bring a tax bill to the floor in the next two months. Biden can't stop Congressional tax cuts from ending, dimwit.

You have to understand that Republicans creating an illusion of lowering taxes and then raising them again in a single Republican bill is just REPUBLICANS raising taxes, johnny.

Won't you take responsibility for ANY of the nonsense your party passed into law without Biden's help? Even blaming it on another "spineless" Republican doesn't fly. They ALL voted for what they ALL wanted.

Wake up, kiddo.

Welcome to how D.C. really operates.

And, as I said, the one most to blame is spineless Paul Ryan.

johnforbes returns to tell us "how D.C. really operates" is that Republicans pass ill-advised bills and blame the results on Democrats.

Believe me, we already know that, johnny.

Republicans never take responsibility for anything they do, though they are more than happy to take responsibility for the success of the economy under Obama's tenure.

No, you again fail to see the point.

The Swamp is bipartisan, and that is the reason idiotic things like sunset provisions for tax cuts come about.

Both Bush Jr and Hillary were globalists, so they are more alike than distinct in many ways. Both favored open borders and an America Last foreignn policy.

Biden is senile and corrupt, so his leftist handlers will implement globalism.

Trump's nationalism was what set him apart, and why both RINOs and Dems loathed him.

The sunset provisions weren't put in there by Democrats, you dishonest partisan scumbag.

The entire bill was smoke and mirrors to give 80% of the benefits to the top 20% of the population.

The initial tax cut for regular folks was the Trump/Republican lie that they were helping the middle class. You finally see now they weren't, just as liberals tried to tell you years ago. Republicans are slow.

And it is Republicans' fault, yesterday, today, and next year. They refuse to do a thing about it to help regular people even now, just as they have refused to do anything for them for the past several months. Democrats CAN'T do anything about it without Republicans. Democrats in the House passed their bill to help us. Republicans in the Senate said "Ah, fuck them. Let the economy burn."

As stated supra, they were placed there by both Dems and Repubs.

As stated several times, Paul Ryan was either a RINO or a Democrat, and by either standard he did a terrible job.

There really is no excuse for a sunset provision on tax cuts except to give weasel politicians an "out" with voters down the pike.

"There really is no excuse for a sunset provision on tax cuts except to give weasel politicians an "out" with voters down the pike."-johnflubs

Wow, johnforbes has finally criticized Republicans for being the weasel politicians they are, just as I have been telling him for years.

Welcome to reality, johnny. You're a bit slow on the uptake, but you got there.

Reality is a difficult thing in some respects, but you learn to deal with it.

No, I've long been critical of weasels such as Paul Ryan, and of course the many and various Democrat Swamp weasels.

After all:

no there was real reason to have a tilted tax cut in which only the middle class portion sunsetted. which was done, as clown so adeptly pointed out, to give the, uninformed soundbite lemmings, fools, and gullible stooges, some " evil tax code" alternative facts to vote for some rich jackass swindlers benefit and they did... while my guitar gently wept and rainbow sparkles decoupaged on our constitution.
as billie eilish said, "duh..."

But you aren't Charming, dimwit. Quite the opposite.

But you ARE "wonderful". I wonder every day how you can be such an ignorant partisan hypocrite.

Thank you for the agreement that I am wonderful.

The charm takes a while to grow on you, but -- much like mold on a shower curtain -- it can grow.
