Michigan Gov. Whitmer is accused of lockdown hypocrisy after her 'husband tried to ready their boat for Memorial weekend' 150 miles from the state capital - after she told public not to travel there

Whitmer and her husband, Marc Mallory, own lakefront home in Elk Rapids

Local dock company claimed last week that Mallory called and asked for service
Northshore Dock owner wrote post on Facebook saying he refused request
Tad Dowker wrote that Mallory said: 'I am the husband to the Governor'
The owner explained that he had a backlog of requests and couldn't tow boat

Dowker wrote that he refused to grant Mallory preferential treatment
Whitmer advised Michiganders last week to avoid nonessential travel

Criminy, johnny, why don't you call the police already?

Lock him up for going to his own home. He wasn't merely a tourist. The boat wasn't serviced.

Honestly, what is your problem? There is no lock down on travel to your own home. There are stay at home orders with exceptions.

He didn't stay in a motel. He didn't go to a public campground. He didn't sit down in a restaurant. He didn't endanger anyone.

Get over your partisan bullshit already. You're boring everyone with your badly "Broken Brain".

He violated his own wife's order against non-essential travel by going to get his boat prepared.

Then he sought special treatment by mentioning his wife was the governor.

Like Obama golfing, this just shows even these lunatic control freak leftists can't comply with their own orders.

So call the police already, johnny.

If you really believe Whitmer's husband is a hypocrite, then you should be really good friends.

Hypocrisy doesn't bother you in the least. To you it's like the air you breathe.

We have all tried to scrub the monitor with Lysol to remove Clown's offensive postings.

Alas, it seems that no germ-killer has sufficient strength to penetrate the lipid layer of ideology which protects the virus of Clown's belief-system.

Of course your ideological fat layers aren't enough for you to get at my belief system, dimwit.

You need to wield some facts to do that, and you ain't got any.

That's the tragedy of the delusional conservative mind.

I appreciate your concern, but this was one of those evenings where I prepared my bean dip, and a bunch of hiking folks gathered at twilight around a firepit in a park.

Marshmallows were roasted, along with a few politicians, and I even sipped a little non-alcoholic beer just for the reckless thrill of it all.

That's what johnforbes took away from his alleged legal education-- "If murderers kill people, then why shouldn't I?"

That is all the nuance a conservative mind can grasp. "Well HE broke the law, so it's not MY fault I did too."

johnforbes is exactly as moral and law-abiding as the other people in his privileged, effete world, and that's pretty contemptible. That's where he learned so much about the word "entitlement" I guess.

Since johnny hangs out with like-minded hypocrites, there is no crime he can't (and doesn't) justify committing himself.

No, I was actually pointing you toward an important distinction between entitlement and eligibility.

But I grant you that an explanation of that distinction would take the discussion far beyond the usual babble.
By Clownkicker
#125294
No, you are merely making another of your intentionally enervating moot points because you're too big a pussy to admit when you are wrong.

I was already aware of those irrelevant distinctions, and they have nothing to do with the point being made at the time about the socialist aspect of the VA ans SS, as you know perfectly well.

Like I said, you're just another partisan hypocritical pussy, nothing more.

#125307
I'm not giving you a hard time on this.

You think I am, but I'm not.

You don't understand why you are wrong, and that's fine because all it shows is that you have never worked in D.C.

You were, and are, completely wrong, with regard to the aspects of those programs cited.

There are, of course, many examples of socialism in various other programs.
By Clownkicker
#125310
Okay, I'll give you a chance to explain why I am wrong, johnny.

Exactly what parts of those government owned and operated programs are not government owned and operated?

Seriously, I would like to know.

#125368
Helpful convenience bump because johnforbes seems to have somehow 'overlooked' his opportunity to easily prove me wrong, and I am always happy to be proven wrong.

Okay, johnny, you have yet ANOTHER chance to explain why I am wrong.

Exactly what parts of those government owned and operated programs are not government owned and operated?

You say you are quite familiar with these programs, so you should have no problem pointing out those parts you claim exist.

Unsurprisingly, johnforbes again shows that he's got nothin' and that he couldn't refute a thing I said, proving I was not wrong at all.

But being your typical conservative, he tries to sheepishly slink away, hoping no one will notice that his tucked tail is not concealing any testicles at all. He simply lacks the balls to admit I am right about this after all.

What a partisan pussy.
By johnforbes
#125384
I'm not sheepish at all.

I several times sought to explain your misunderstanding, which is pretty large, and which anybody with moderate sophistication about the government would understand.

You didn't, so I saw no reason to expend my time.
By Clownkicker
#125389
The reason you saw no reason to "expend your time" is you know you are completely wrong.

You said you wanted to be serious for a minute. I replied seriously. Then you predictably tucked your tail and slunk away like a gutless weasel.

But here's another chance for you to man up:

Exactly what parts of those government owned and operated programs (SS and VA) are not government owned and operated?
By johnforbes
#125392
You made statements which were utterly foolish, such as the claim that vet benefits were "socialism."

That would be a foolish thing for a high schooler to aver.

Do you really think you generate serious discussion from such a ludicrous claim?
By Clownkicker
#125393
First of all, I said the Veterans Administration was socialism, and it is. Why are you lying about what I said?

To deny that the VA is socialism is a foolish thing for ANYONE, especially someone claiming a college education. It is undeniably a program owned and run by the government, and you have never actually said it isn't because you know it is.

Do you really think you can ever generate serious discussion when you display such ignorance, johnny?
By johnforbes
#125445
Your argument is so flawed in that regard that I have not pursued it.

There are many good examples of socialism you could point to in order to bolster your argument.

But several of the points you return too would be humiliating for a high school debater to attempt to make.
By Clownkicker
#125446
My argument isn't flawed at all, johnny. That's why you are too chickenshit to address it.

My only argument is that SS and the VA are unequivocally socialist programs. They are both owned and operated by the government.

You can't offer anything to refute my position, so just be honest, acknowledge what you know, that they are indeed socialist programs by definition, and let it go already.
