Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was arrested for allegedly sex trafficking dozens of minors in New York and Florida between 2002 and 2005, and will appear in court in New York on Monday, according to three law enforcement sources. The arrest, by the FBI-NYPD Crimes Against Children Task Force, comes about 12 years after the 66-year-old financier essentially got a slap on the wrist for allegedly molesting dozens of underage girls in Florida.

For more than a decade, Epstein’s alleged abuse of minors has been the subject of lawsuits brought by victims, investigations by local and federal authorities, and exposés in the press. But despite the attention cast on his alleged sex crimes, the hedge-funder has managed to avoid any meaningful jail time, let alone federal charges.

Former President Bill Clinton was a frequent flyer on Epstein's infamous jet, with flight logs showing the former president taking at least 26 trips aboard the “Lolita Express” -- even apparently ditching his Secret Service detail for at least five of the flights.
Pucker factor for Bubba! Will Epstein tell all for a reduced sentence?

And yet if you talk to Donald Trump, a different Epstein emerges. “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Clown doesn't know the difference between saying something nice about a person and traveling with him several times to private islands for sex orgies with children. Clinton even refused to allow his secret service detail to travel with him on those sex orgies with Epstein. All that is coming out, Epstein flipped several years ago to avoid prison, he'll do it again and you can bet Barr will make him that offer. Clinton isn't sleeping well.

Now don't you feel silly!!!

Just like all devout conservative Christians, Trump believes that marriage is a sacred institution....

That is.... between a man and a woman and a another woman after that and then another woman after that and also some paid-off pornstars and of course the "young ones" that Epstein brings along....

Pelosi, warned conspicuously on Saturday evening that it is "quite likely that some of our faves are implicated" in the "horrific" sex-trafficking case against politically connected financier Jeffrey Epstein.
I don't think she's talking about Trump who warned everyone this was coming 4 years ago.
Trump previously called attention to Clinton's dealings with the financier back in 2015.

"Nice guy -- uh, got a lot of problems coming up, in my opinion, with the famous island, with Jeffrey Epstein," Trump told Fox News' Sean Hannity in 2015, referring to Clinton's connections with Epstein. "A lot of problems."
Court documents show that Clinton took at least 26 trips flying aboard Epstein's private jet, known as the "Lolita Express," and ditched his Secret Service detail on many of the excursions

Rich people tend to cluster in housing, and attend events, so those things are no big deal.

Obviously, though, those who flew on his private plane would be more interesting to find out about.

I actually hope there is some innocent explanation for Bill Clinton's 26 trips on that plane, and there may even be.
#117394
Yes, obviously Trump is very upset at Epstein's behavior. We know this because he was made aware of it when confirmation hearings for Acosta as Secretary of Labor were held. Acosta protected Epstein from Federal charges and life in prison for the crimes Epstein admitted to in state court. Further, Acosta made sure Epstein didn't actually spend his days in jail for the crimes Epstein had admitted to. Trump then condoned the actions of Acosta and, by extension, Epstein by not withdrawing Acosta's nomination or pursuing Federal charges against Epstein. That's how upset Trump is about his "good friend" Epstein's behavior, which is NOT AT ALL.

Now every hypocrite Trump supporter is desperately pointing the finger at Bill Clinton (who isn't President by the way and, unlike Trump, isn't a relevant figure in the average American's life) instead of pointing their fingers at Trump's several trips on Epstein's plane. Why is that?

The question is, if Bill is somehow tainted by the flights with Epstein, then certainly Trump must be equally tainted by the flights, isn't he?

johnforbes is suddenly being magnanimous suggesting there MAY be an innocent explanation for Bill's trips. But he only does so because jumping to any conclusions about Bill's trips without evidence means we must necessarily jump to the same conclusions about Trump's trips without evidence. And no hypocrite conservative wants to have to do THAT, do they, johnny.

Regardless, as johnforbes knows perfectly well, both Clinton and Trump availed themselves of the 'perqs' of having Epstein as a flying buddy. Whether either had sex with underage girls is not really relevant because both understood the girls (even if they were 18) were paid to have sex, making the sex illegal. But, predictably, this doesn't bother the Party of "Family Values" in the least. They are all perfectly aware of Trump's infidelities and his paying for sex on a routine basis and they LOVE him for it. They actually cheer his indiscretions. It's mystifying how anyone can be this hypocritical.

(johnny, that's your cue to explain it to us.)

Acosta protected Epstein from Federal charges and life in prison for the crimes Epstein admitted to in state court
Clown you are aware that happened in 2007...aren't you? Trump wasn't even in Government at that time. Could it be that Acosta was protecting the person who appointed him as a U.S. Attorney? MMMM wonder who that could have been?

Why is RealTool bringing up that this happened in 2007? He wonders, was Acosta really protecting the person who appointed him as a U.S. Attorney?
So RealTool is suggesting that Acosta is really trying to protect G.W. Bush. Sure, that makes sense here. :/

You clowns need to think. If you protected a convicted sex trafficking criminal and want to become Secretary of Labor, how do you get a President to appoint you?

The answer is simple: you blackmail him.

Acosta knew the whole story of the flights with Epstein and had evidence to prove it. Acosta knew Trump had also been on those flights and probably has evidence of what Trump did there too.

Talk about things that make you go "Hmmmmm....." eh, Tool?
#117405
Tool, Trump is the one who made him Secretary of Labor knowing full well he is a convicted criminal.
Trump didn't appoint Epstein as Secretary of Labor, you're listening to CNN too much.

I'm betting the swamp will appoint a prosecutor who go out there way to protect Clinton while trying to tie in conservatives.
#117407
"Trump didn't appoint Epstein as Secretary of Labor, you're listening to CNN too much."-RealTool

"Rene Alexander Acosta (born January 16, 1969) is an American attorney, academic, and politician who serves as the 27th United States Secretary of Labor. President Donald Trump nominated Acosta to be Labor Secretary on February 16, 2017, and he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 27, 2017."

You need to start listening to something NOT put out by your handlers, Tool.

You could start by reading the Constitution. (As soon as you English comprehension rises above a sixth grade level, of course.)
#117410
Tool, Trump is the one who made him Secretary of Labor knowing full well he is a convicted criminal.
"... and appointed a criminal as Secretary of Labor? ___ Clown

"... Eight Democrats and one Independent voted to confirm Acosta in 2017. ThinkProgress reached out to those who are still in office, which includes Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Mark Warner (D-VA), Bob Menendez (D-NJ), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Angus King (I-ME), to see if they support his resignation today. No office responded to ThinkProgress’ requests for comment in time for publication.

sillydummy, who cares that some Democrats gave their consent to Trump's appointment? They did not appoint the guy, Trump appointed him knowing full well that he had protected Trump's good friend Epstein.

For some reason you clowns always pretend that doing a bad thing is okay if this guy or that guy gives approval. Well, it isn't.

That is the limitation of the conservative mind. Once their own supreme leader says it's OK, then their moral and ethical rules are expediently discarded.

The perfect example is Republicans' willingness to impeach Clinton over legal sexual misadventures with a 23-year-old but hold Trump up to acclaim when he cheats on wives and pays women for sex and lies about it. Now they are all silent even though they know perfectly well that Trump took rides on Epstein's flights.

"But look over there! Bill Clinton rode on the plane 26 times! Clinton did something bad but Trump didn't!"-every conservatard in the world

The plea deal with Epstein was done in 2008...on Obama's watch and his DoJ could have stopped it..

Obama once said that nothing happened on his watch he didn't know about...! :O

The Demos, always trying to block Trump's appointments, had nothing to say about Acosta...

But Now suddenly they see how attacking Acosta fits their agenda...

They accuse Acosta of breaking the law...But say nothing about charging him only that they want him to resign.

The thing is they want him to resign BEFORE Epstein goes on trial...Why?

Because it was never about Epstein..it is about damaging Trump's economy by getting

rid of his Secretary of Labor and putting the markets on shaky ground...

They don't care that every American has a job , as long as they

can make the stock market take a dive...

The Demos know a strong economy is what will guarantee another Trump victory in 2020..

Hell, Epstein may actually get off having already pled guilty to a lesser charge.. :O
#117426
Who fed you that load of crap, sillydummy? You'll swallow absolutely ANYTHING without question, won't you.

"The plea deal with Epstein was done in 2008...on Obama's watch and his DoJ could have stopped it.."-sillydummy

The prosecution was started in 2007. When a new President comes into office he sets up his Administration. He doesn't stop prosecutions already underway and pull all the attorneys off every case and reassign his own hires. They finish what they started. And even if Obama knew about the prosecution, nobody can expect him to understand all the fine legal points of hundreds of prosecutions. He would likely know only that a sexual predator was being put in jail and supported it, as would anyone.

That a new President can "stop" an old shady plea deal in the works is ridiculous as a practical matter. It isn't even on their radar.

"The Demos, always trying to block Trump's appointments, had nothing to say about Acosta..."-sillyliar

That's just a blatant lie, dummy. It was Democrats who brought up Acosta's involvement in the plea deal during his confirmation hearings. How can you sit there and simply lie about something like that?

"The thing is they want him to resign BEFORE Epstein goes on trial...Why?
Because it was never about Epstein..it is about damaging Trump's economy by getting rid of his Secretary of Labor and putting the markets on shaky ground..."-sillydummy

That's moronic. There's nothing the markets would like more than to get rid of the guy enforcing labor laws. Unless you mean he was on the side of business already instead of on the side of labor. In that case, sure, they would hate to lose him. But the guy wouldn't be doing his job so he absolutely should go anyway if your claim is true.

"They don't care that every American has a job , as long as they can make the stock market take a dive..."-sillydummy

TRUMP is the one that is doing everything he can to tank global financial markets. His tariff wars are slowing growth in virtually all the world economies under Trump's tenure. Tune in to your most Republican-biased economics source and see what they say about economic growth around the world. It isn't looking good.

What is really the case is that you are desperately trying to blame Democrats for the mess Trump is causing. But pretending the U.S. Secretary of Labor can put "the markets on shaky ground" or "can make the stock take a dive" simply by resigning is just idiotic.

"The thing is they want him to resign BEFORE Epstein goes on trial...Why?
Because it was never about Epstein..it is about damaging Trump's economy by getting rid of his Secretary of Labor and putting the markets on shaky ground..."-sillydummy

Of course it is about Epstein. AND Acosta's unethical handling of the case with Trump's friend at the time. Even Trump just said his 'falling out' happened ten years ago. A year AFTER the plea deal. Trump probably saw Epstein as a liability (having knowledge about what Trump had done on his flights) and a "loser" because he had lost, obviously.

But sillydummy is pretending Democrats don't actually want to go after child sex traffickers, when what he is actually saying is Republicans have already proved they don't want to go after them and proved it in Florida. So sillydummy, predictably, is the one who supports letting child sex traffickers slide. He is desperately trying to point at Obama when the case is going on NOW. Instead of protecting Acosta, you SHOULD be bragging about how the Trump Justice Department is trying to prosecute a scumbag that you claim Obama let off easy. But you won't do that, will you, dummy. You want to blame Obama even as you flail about to protect the guy who actually made the bad decisions to protect another of Trump's sleazeball friends.

My post "Trump didn't appoint Epstein as Secretary of Labor, you're listening to CNN too much."

Clown's response "Rene Alexander Acosta (born January 16, 1969) is an American attorney, academic, and politician who serves as the 27th United States Secretary of Labor. President Donald Trump nominated Acosta to be Labor Secretary on February 16, 2017, and he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 27, 2017."
Dude, Epstein is a completely different person, that's not Acosta's nickname.
#117435
Clinton has lawyered up!

Trump tossed out Epstein after finding out he was "inappropriate" with female staff members, while Bill Clinton took 26 more rides on the "Lolita Express" and in many cases did something no President is supposed to do...tell his secret service detail they can't come with him. Imagine what must have taken place for Clinton as President to fly off to a secret place with no security.

In an attempt to save Clinton New York has appointed Former FBI's Director Comey's daughter as the prosecutor in the case, because they now how to protect the swamp.
#117446
Clown what Democrats objected back then, to Acosta's appointment ?
The only ones who have anything to say NOW, are Tim Kaine and Debbie Wasserman …
All the other Demos who voted in his favor are sticking by their vote....

Even CNN's Jim Acosta posted back then he was happy to see Alex Acosta appointment..!

Just a few decades ago, leftists believed in free expression, they were horrified by censorship, and they loved individual freedom.

Today, the Left favors tech censorship by Google, Yahoo, Twitter, Apple, Amazon, et al.

Today, the Left wants the FBI to conduct a fake investigation of Hillary and let her go when everybody knew she had violated 18 USC 793.

The Left was happy that Attorney General Loretta Lynch met Bill Clinton, the husband of the target of an investigation, in a secret meeting on the tarmac.

Does anyone else notice that not one conservative here thinks Epstein should be prosecuted for underage sex trafficking?

They are here just shrugging off his crimes and saying prosecuting him for his crimes is purely political. They have no interest in justice for his victims nor the rule off law, despite their constant whining about how the rule of law is so important.

What we see is that the rule of law is only important to conservatives when it doesn't get in the way of their ridiculous partisanship.
#117480

Just the opposite I'm the one to point out Clinton's rape buddy has been arrested. Rather than prosecuting Epstein and those who raped children with him, you can bet Ms Comey is busy trying to make deals with all those involved if they can provide any dirt on Trump, while at the same time ignoring Clinton's rapes of those kids. Epstein is a NYC libtard who is a huge Democratic donor. That's why they came to his aid the first time he was arrested, plus the word is out he threatened to take down Clinton and several other Democrats unless he was given a good deal. NYC prosecutors even argued for no jail time at all, but Acosta stepped in and charged him with Federal crimes, but he ended up getting off on all the State crimes which were the serious ones, that's the way NYC operates.

Everybody would like to see Epstein's activity halted if he is guilty.

With regard to Bill Clinton, I find it hard to believe that he was interesting in sex with underage girls, so hopefully there will turn out to be a more innocent explanation of his 27 trips on the "Lolita Express."

Trump apparently kicked Epstein out of Mar a Lago, so there seems nothing there.

He's not as good of a liar as his boss and he got caught.
The original plea deal was in Florida . Trump needs to win Florida in 2020.
Trump was thinking was this gets it out of the headlines....I think not.
I bet there are a whole more salacious details to come............
