Political discussions about everything

On Thursday, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps officials declared that they had shot down the drone with an Iranian-made Khordad-3 air defense system. Given the RQ-4’s usual operating altitude, the interceptor missile was likely a TALASH 2B. A representative from U.S. Central Command declined to confirm the missile type, but did say that Iran did not use its most sophisticated air-defense system, the Russian-made S-300, in the engagement.

In other words, the U.S. military lost one of its most advanced intelligence drones to a mediocre radar and missile. That reflects a lack of suitable next-generation drones to carry out important intelligence and reconnaissance missions against adversaries with actual air defenses.

Looks like we need a Talpiot program here.

So you're recommending our military spend 100's of millions to put missile defense systems on drones? Why not use F-22 Raptors to escort the drones? Or maybe only fly the drones in areas that are safe from attacks?

Dude, there's a reason they're unmanned.

Justme... The drone shot down is $80 million. The F-35 is now $60 million with stealth capability. We have stealthy drones but we don't have enough to be operational. My point is, if we want to be the leader of the world, we have to have the best weapons available.

Funny, know one asked me about my reference to Talpiot. It iss an Israeli program that takes the best and brightest into a program that teaches them advanced physics, math and bio-sciences and ties everything into Israel's defense. Israel has stealth drones. Have you every heard of an Israeli drone being shot down? Israel wiped out a nuke facility in Syria and the Syrians didn't see or hear them and every plane made it back home without damage. Israel blinded Syria's radar and made their own planes invisible. Israel is buying our F-35s without our communications, weapons systems or radar because thier's is so much better.

BTW...During simulated war games pitting an imaginary Iran against the US forces, a Marine Corp. General took Iran's side in the games and WON.

I guess the fact the General already had access all US intel had nothing to do with it, eh?

You mean like the way the U.S. won so swiftly against a bunch of tribal goat herders in Afghanistan, johnny? :/

Criminy, stop being so smug and crack a book once in a while. Or at least turn on your TV to something other than FOXnews.

It's estimated our military has terminated over 500,000 of those goat herders over the years. :P

Bush lied....Thousands Died
Actually Biden who was on the intel committee lied to Bush about intel he had. Bush fell for it, bad on him. Remember that during the next election, that war should be blamed on both Biden and Bush, Trump who wasn't in government said he was against that war and years later he has been proven right.

Strange that Elke would point our government at the time was wrong about the war and Trump was right!
