Political discussions about everything

WASHINGTON — The deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, suggested last year that he secretly record President Trump in the White House to expose the chaos consuming the administration, and he discussed recruiting cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Mr. Trump from office for being unfit.

Mr. Rosenstein made these suggestions in the spring of 2017 when Mr. Trump’s firing of James B. Comey as F.B.I. director plunged the White House into turmoil. Over the ensuing days, the president divulged classified intelligence to Russians in the Oval Office, and revelations emerged that Mr. Trump had asked Mr. Comey to pledge loyalty and end an investigation into a senior aide.

Mr. Rosenstein was just two weeks into his job. He had begun overseeing the Russia investigation and played a key role in the president’s dismissal of Mr. Comey by writing a memo critical of his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. But Mr. Rosenstein was caught off guard when Mr. Trump cited the memo in the firing, and he began telling people that he feared he had been used.

Mr. Rosenstein made the remarks about secretly recording Mr. Trump and about the 25th Amendment in meetings and conversations with other Justice Department and F.B.I. officials. Several people described the episodes, insisting on anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. The people were briefed either on the events themselves or on memos written by F.B.I. officials, including Andrew G. McCabe, then the acting bureau director, that documented Mr. Rosenstein’s actions and comments.

Rosenstein has forcefully come out against de-classifying emails and documents as ordered by President Trump.
Well there go, the weasel in the hen house!

It's pretty telling that RealTool learns of the chaos consuming the Administration and his concern is not with the chaos and the man perpetrating it but with the guy who wants to stop it.

Then he learns that Trump divulged classified intelligence to Russians in the Oval Office, and of revelations that Trump had asked Comey to pledge loyalty and end an investigation into a senior aide.
And again, what bothers him about this? That the Assistant AG is actually concerned by these lapses in security and assaults on the law.

Then RealTool learns about Rosenstein forcefully coming out against de-classifying emails and documents as ordered by Trump. But RealTool isn't at all concerned that his Asst. AG is letting him know something is wrong here.

RealTool learns that there is an adult in the Administration and he calls him a weasel.
Tool, the guy is not there to serve the President. He's there to serve you and me and the country.

You need to wake up. You're attacking the guy who is protecting you. That's what your handlers have made you become. You don't know where your best interests lie.

My advice to Trump is put Rosenstein on ice until after the midterm elections saying he want's a full investigation to be fair to everyone and that the allegation Rosenstein plotted to overthrow a sitting President is a very serious charge. Trump should then put Rosenstein on administrative leave until after the elections in November. After the election he should fire Rosenstein and Sessions for allowing Rosenstein to do the job Sessions should have done. There will be massive uproars, but Kavanaugh will be in place and the elections over so fuckem!

"Rosenstein has forcefully come out against de-classifying emails and documents as ordered by President Trump. "-RealTool's article

Today Trump backed off his plans to do a wholesale declassification and release of classified materials because it would be a bad idea, carelessly risking sources and methods.

Good thing Rosenstein was there to give him a reality check before he did something stupid, isn't it, Tool.

Rosenstein's "wire" comment was sarcastic, he was just making fun of McCabe's far fetched plan
It's documented that Rosenstein discussed wearing a wire to get information that can be used against Trump, he went so far as to explain they always allow him to keep his phone when he meets with the President so it would be easy. Rosenstein doesn't deny saying that but says he was joking. Several in the room say he was serious and asking for their thoughts. Rosenstein has to go, Trump should relieve him of authority and have the IG do an investigation to determine if criminal charges are warranted. After the midterm elections Trump should fire his ass and several others then if there were criminal offenses start the arrests.

It could be that McCabe was very aggressive because his pal Comey had been fired.

His aggression was also probably why Rosenstein made the mistake of appointing a special counsel without even being able to state what crime was to be looked into (a requirement of the law).

Either way, suspend Rosenstein pending investigation.

If Jeff were not napping, this would already have been done today.

Yes, it may well be that McCabe was aggressive and Rosenstein became sarcastic.

Still, what Rosenstein said was very, very inappropriate whether intended as sarcasm or humor.

If it were up to me, I wouldn't fire him, but he should be suspended pending an investigation.

Now it sounds like Trump is desperate to find a reason to stop Mr. Mueller in light of the two new plea deals plus the failing Kavanaugh confirmation.

If you mean Cohen and Manafort...
Mueller is just parading them for media coverage...he can't trust anything they will say....
as for kavanaugh...Grassely has to give the appearance the ramblings of
that psycho will be given serious consideration.. :o  .

A source indicated that Rosenstein sarcastically said, What do you want me to do (McCabe) wear a wire?
McCabe documented and two sources confirmed that Rosenstein was being said "They allow me to take my phone into the room when I meet with Trump, it would be easy for me to record him and see if I can get something to help us support using the 25th Amendment" Those in attendance told Rosenstein they couldn't support his suggestion.

That is not sarcasm, that was plotting to remove a sitting President. The only reason I can see that Trump hasn't put him on ice pending the outcome of an investigation is that he doesn't want to rock any more boats until the vote on Kavanaugh is over. Flake is an outspoken supporter of Kavanaugh because Flake wants Trump removed, taking action against Rosenstein now, would surely result in Flake voting against Kavanaugh.

I'm sorry, johnny, but the FBI doesn't investigate this sort of thing, and Congress doesn't see the need to do a full investigation anyway or to question all the witnesses involved in this situation. It only involves the welfare of the entire country, after all.

I think they should only question Rosenstein and Trump under oath, don't you agree, honestly?

I wonder if Trump would be smirking if placed under oath. What do you think, johnny?
#108298
johnny, following the Constitution, by definition, is not "sedition" any more than it constitutes a "coup".

That's exactly what following the Constitution prevents.

Your grasp of the English language is dropping to the level of RealTool and namandgulfdumbfuck.

Next johnforbes will be claiming that the House voting on articles of impeachment is an example of a "coup" and "sedition".

A person would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind not to realize that a cabal of Democrats and RINOs sought to protect Hillary (who had contravened 18 USC 793) and abuse the FISA process to frame Trump.

Yes, it is sedition was the de facto AG talks about wearing a wire and the 25th Amendment.

If Rosenstein doesn't resign, then he must be compelled to testify under oath, and others of the 7 at that meeting must also testify under oath and explain themselves.

They can't explain that because there really is no innocent explanation for such verbiage.

Nota Bene: No person has said this didn't happen.

Rosenstein is a true patriot who puts country first.

Trump puts Trump first....

Today they laughed at Trump during a United Nations speech. Needless to say, the UN never laughed at Obama unless he was telling a joke.

Trump is such a schmuck the UN doesn't even take him seriously.
