The 2018 elections are coming up, there is always the slightest chance that the Democrats gain control of the House so Trump needs to take measures to appoint Trey Gowdy as the next Supreme Court Justice thus insuring our Constitution will be preserved and followed for decades to come. Currently Democrats can not stop that appointment if a position comes open. There are grounds from moving people from the Supreme Court Justices under certain conditions, Trump needs to put his people on it.
