Rosenstein on Comey memo: 'I wrote it. I believe it. I stand by it.' Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein firmly stood by the memo he wrote that outlined James Comey’s offenses – and later was cited by the White House to support President Trump’s decision to fire the FBI director – during briefings with Capitol Hill lawmakers, according to remarks obtained by Fox News.

“I wrote it. I believe it. I stand by it, the news reports President Trump had me write the letter are false.” he said, according to the opening statement provided by senior Justice Department officials.

The statement was first delivered to Senate lawmakers on Thursday and to House lawmakers during a similar briefing on Friday. Many of the Democrats in attendance were dismayed that Rosenstein's testimony was consistent with what President Trump has said about the matter.

The fake news was that the media reported a leak reported that someone reported that Trump told the DOJ he needed them to come up with supporting documents to help justify firing Comey. We now know, the media's, source of a source who got the information from an anon leaker was false. Democrats in the House are in shock that they had put all their money on the table to take Trump out on what is now known to be a media lie.

All the melodrama over what always turns out to be fake news has even liberals having little faith in what Democrats in Congress say. Now even they found something solid against Trump, people would just yawn and say there the drama queens go again! You can only yell "FIRE" when there is no fire so many times before people tune you out.
