You don't have to be a scientist to interpret the first graph. The earth is cool until the industrialization during WW II. After WW II the industrialization cools down. In the early 50s the good times roll and we heat up. In the 60s the good times continue. The heating and cooling continue to follow the economy until 1980 or so. Then China opens up with almost no pollution controls and lax worker safety. Indian starts to ramp up their industry, again with almost no pollution controls. Mexico slowly starts to industrialize. Pacific Rim nations take up the industries that the USA has lost and increase their world share of markets, again with fewer controls than the USA. After 1980 global warming spikes.
