We asked, you voted: 89 percent said no to Trump’s military parade

As the Pentagon continues to work on parade options to present to President Donald Trump, an overwhelming number of Military Times readers have weighed in: Don’t have one.

The informal poll was launched Wednesday after news reports that Trump had requested a military parade and that the Pentagon was working on parade options for him.

As of Thursday afternoon, more than 51,000 readers had responded. The majority, 89 percent, responded “No, It’s a waste of money and troops are too busy.”

Some said there's nothing like wasting a four day weekend standing around in the sun instead of spending time with their families.

Now where is their patriotism and love for their President?

And what have they got against pissing away a few million dollars for silly posturing like a dictatorial third world nation?

What should happen is that government salaries should be adjusted to insure that their pay doesn't exceed salaries to military members. So a government manager of 50 people shouldn't be paid more than a SFC platoon sergeant which is around $60K. If that causes and outcry of under pay, then that damn SFC's pay should be increased to what is acceptable.
