FBI Director Christopher Wray said Tuesday that his chief of staff, James Rybicki, was leaving the bureau, a development that follows President Trump taking aim at other senior FBI officials who worked under the former director, James Comey.

Rybicki, who served in the same position under Comey and continued his role under Wray, came under scrutiny from Republicans in recent months over his role in the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Rybicki was involved in the drafting of Comey’s infamous statement exonerating Clinton in the email investigation before interviewing key witnesses, including Clinton herself – something Republicans have seized upon. Rybicki was mentioned in a recently discovered text sent by Peter Strzok to his mistress Lisa Page where he assured her that "JR" is fully on board, and for her to keep the faith because "everything is motion to right this wrong."

Leaving in the hope that their departure may make it less likely they will be charged.

McCabe is hoping to retire in March before he is charged with some violation (Hatch Act at least).

He apparently used his desk phone to make political calls on behalf of his wife, and appeared at a rally with a political t-shirt on.

McCabe's wife took 750,000 bucks from Hillary's pal McAuliffe and the VA Dems at the same time he was pretending to be neutral on the fake investigation of Hillary's email.
