According to the senators, Norway and the other Nordic countries have successfully resisted Russian efforts to undermine their democracies by adopting a “’whole of society’ approach against Mr. Putin’s malign influence operations, involving the government, civil society, the media, and the private sector, with an emphasis on teaching critical thinking and media literacy.” These efforts have been successful for a number of reasons. Norway and its neighbors have a well-educated citizenry, show greater respect for government, lower levels of corruption, and stronger support for journalism.

Definitely something Trump does not want.

I support journalism, and in specific detail critical journalism.

But that died in America in 2008, with the press worship of Obama.

So-called "journalists" reviled Trump, and do that daily.

Anybody who takes journalism seriously should read pro-Left Walter Lippmann's brilliant Public Opinion, which even explains epistemology.

How can the average citizen looking for information cope with CNN constantly claiming Trump said "shithole" when he probably never even said it, Durbin was probably just making that up?

Even if Trump did use that word in a private meeting, so what? That would be a correct way to look at immigration, and that's the way Canada and Australia do look at it.

The 1965 immigration change stopped America from taking in new immigrants from successful nations and brought in tons of immigrants from failed nations.

Visit London or Paris today, and you seem the same problem -- security barriers everywhere, women can't walk the streets safely, and everybody frets constantly about when the next terrorist attack will transpire.
