What a debacle! The hospital ship "Comfort" was almost totally unused. News reports state that only 9 beds were in use and hundreds of medical personnel were just standing around doing nothing. The Comfort was anchored off shore so that access to the ship was by boat.

Then came a brilliant idea from FEMA, let's anchor the Comfort in the port of San Juan at a dock so people could walk onto the hospital ship. This brilliant solution seems to have solved this problem. This past weekend the Comfort took care of 931 people.

Much of the island is still without power and clean water but FEMA is still trying to find politically correct people to get to the island and fix the problems. The citizens will just have to persevere.

There are special problems there in terms of the island, and also the dependency which Democrat-run places have.

There were about 1500 enormous containers of supplies, but the locals did not deliver them or even have any plan to do so.

Actually, though, FEMA must factor in local incompetence with regard to places like New Orleans, where there is no ethic of doing something for yourself.

1500 containers not where they are needed? I can get them where they are needed; I do it everyday. I have to make sure that everything is on the site when it is needed. A 4-20 bolt costs about 6 cents. If your crew is held up because they don't have it it is super expensive. It could cost thousands. I have heavy equipment ordered for delivery months in the future when I need it. I have smaller equipment ordered for delivery in advance of when I need it.

My uncle was in The Marine Corps in supply during the Inchon Invasion. He told me that everything came off the ships in the order that it was needed. The invasion would have failed if the Marines weren't on the ball.

Planning...planning...planning. Off course a radio disk jockey that is the recipient of a political appointment isn't going to get the job done.

What Snake doesn't realize is the situation on the docks in PR.
Nothing happens without the local mafia being involved and getting their cut.

Makes operating in the port of Newark, NJ look like a trip to the local Dairy Queen.
