The D.C, swamp was invaded by an outsider who wouldn't play by the rules when Trump was elected, they were scared shitless and several agencies and even so called Republicans went to war with him. Flake's dramatic speech was an attempt to distract from the earth shattering corruption exposures. Imagine how tense it must have been at the Washington Post, which always tilted to the Left but has gone totally leftist under Bezos' ownership.

But, to its credit, the Post did go ahead -- perhaps knowing the story was emerging anyhow elsewhere.
