Insipid, this is not some "word game" you lying piece of shit. This is you being intentionally dishonest and oblivious, in the face of a string of killer hurricanes causing hundreds of billions in damage, pretending that one of the worst hurricanes seasons on record (one which had been predicted by climate science) is just some fluke of nature; a curiosity that doesn't mean anything.
It is not a "silly ass word game" to call you on your intentional misrepresentation (LIES) of what the climate scientists said. Nobody EVER claimed that the United States would be the sole target of hurricanes, or that if they didn't hit the U.S. then they didn't exist. That's the kind of thing only ossified conservatives do.
There's a whole big world out there that is not the U.S. and they suffer the effects of climate change even when you don't.
You morons seem to think that the world is made up of only the U.S. and its weather. It's not.
When human habitation in Barbuda is essentially wiped off the map, that's exactly what "the climate hysterics were hysterically telling us in the years to come we would experience".
When Puerto Rico is damaged to the point where there is no electricity for up to 6 months and, according to San Juan Mayor Cruz, "The Puerto Rico and San Juan we knew yesterday is no longer there." that's exactly what "the climate hysterics were hysterically telling us in the years to come we would experience".
When Cuba gets a direct hit from a category 5 hurricane that reduces its power to a category 4 and changes its course to spare Florida a direct hit from a cat 5, that doesn't somehow disprove what "climate hysterics" have been telling you. It's just some dumb luck for those in Florida. Some other human beings still took the hit for them.
You clowns need to wake up to the fact that your fear of people using climate change for political purposes does not alter the fact that rapid climate change is occurring and must be addressed by homo sapiens. What doesn't make sense is that Republicans are too stupid to use it for their own political purposes instead of leaving it to the Democrats. Republicans could be using climate change to pass some pork-filled infrastructure bills that would not just line their own pockets, but would produce real protections for our country.
You imbeciles need to stop listening to your handlers telling you "climate has always been changing" and come to understand that it isn't the change that's the problem. It's the speed of the change that is frightening. What has happened in 150 years used to happen over 1,500 years, which gave humanity time to adapt to the changes.
We no longer have time for johnforbes and Insipid to sit around whimpering that they are too lazy and stupid to read scientific papers or listen to scientists warn them of what's coming, so instead they'll read popular magazines and listen to non-scientist politicians who don't know any more than they do telling them not to worry, the scientists could be wrong.
Sure, anything's possible, dimwits. But when your own houses are wiped off the map some day, you'll still be thinking it's just another mysterious and unforeseeable fluke in the weather.
