The IRS had its own IG report on this instance of corruption.

The IRS even apologized for this partisan political targeting.

Was Lerner's effort directed, or guided, by the White House?

That seems likely, and probably that is why her hard drive was ruined and surely why the tape backups in West VIrginia went "missing" on the midnight shift.

If we have the rule of law, this should have been investigated. If it turned up nothing, that's fine.

But it should have been looked at.
