Trump to donate $1 million for Harvey relief efforts out of his own pocket.
President Trump plans to donate $1 million for victims of the historic floods and rains that have devastated the Gulf region, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday.

Trump has not finalized what group the money will go to, and the White House said it would solicit ideas from the press corps, taking a dig at those who have fervently researched and questioned past donations Trump has made or claimed to make.

“He's actually asked that I check with the folks in this room since you are very good at research and have been doing a lot of reporting into the groups and organizations that have the best and most effective in helping and providing aid and he would love some suggestions from the folks here and I would be happy to take them,” Sanders said in the White House press briefing room.

Sanders said she was unsure whether the donation would come from the president directly or the Trump Foundation.

"I know that the president, he said he was personally going to give, I don’t know the legal part of exactly that but he said his personal money so I would assume that comes directly from him," she said.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump will visit Texas and Louisiana on Saturday, Sanders said, the pair's second trip to the region since Hurricane Harvey made landfall on Friday as a Category 4 storm. It has since been downgraded to a tropical depression as it moves into Louisiana.

What did Ojackass donate during Sandy! Oh ya he and Christ Christy donated a butt fucking photo shoot.

A reporter asked Hillary if the Clinton Foundation would be providing money and aide to Harvey's victims and she said they're not set up for operations in the United States and that their charter requires the money be used in those countries most needing the help. In short she said HELL NO.

Dog, Hillary is on tour....coming soon to a revival tent near you....
For a mere $1500 ..you get to sit in the front row..you get an autographed copy of her book ..
and she will come down and shake your hand..
Now how many dogs get to brag of shaking Andy Griffith hand and Hillary Clinton's hand
in one lifetime..?

Now Dog...this is a bargain.....
Remember when you needed $10 Grand just to be allowed in the same auditorium with her?

I'm waiting for the county fair tour ..
I heard on that one they are going to bring out a dunking booth, and and......well, I don't want to spoil it
But I understand it's going to be better than the man eating chicken !

Really Doggy shit! So would have preferred something like the dog an pony show Ojackass and lard ass Christie put on, slobbering all over each other in a photo shoot. Ya thats going to really help Harvey victims..

FYI look at the difference between FEMA then and now. FEMA is here set up and in action. Not out on vacation like when Ojackass was in office.

"Obama took office with approx 10 trillion in debt.
He left having almost doubled that to almost 20 trillion."-johnflubs

Yeah, it's hard to believe Republican Congresses repeatedly pass budgets for that kind of money while whining about the deficit, isn't it, johnny?
It's like they just don't care how hypocritical they are.

The Clinton Foundation was the biggest public scandal in American history, and not one person got charged with one single thing.

It was classic pay to play, and donors got special access to Hillary.

The Washington Post didn't do any "reporting" on that, nor did they care that the Clintons were corrupt.

Why shouldn't Trump figure out some better way to donate the million, if indeed he does?

All the Post is trying to do, and all the Left Wingers here are trying to do, is discredit Trump.

The Left has absolutely zero concern for the humans being hurt in Texas by the hurricane.

Hillary has never required people to pay to get access to her, she's touring the country and Canada to talk about her new book, everyone is welcome to show up and listen to her words of wisdom. Just because you'll have to pay an extra $1000.00 for the book to get a seat closer to her doesn't mean shit!

The Retarded NamFuck can't think of a reply. No problem. His blubbering babble about tRump's "donation" looks like it's a total lie. He was gonna use his "foundation"...ie "somebody else's money"....but it seems like Mueller has that foundation money all tied up. LOL

Come on, retard......show me the receipt for tRump's "donation". LMAO It's like ALL of his pledges......they never happen! tRump only TAKES......never GIVES.

Trump has quite a long history of charitable impulses.

There's a reason why foundations are tax-efficient.

It is because the tax code encourages charity.

Bill Clinton deducted his used underwear; that's a fact. It was tacky for him to do so, but legal.

The Clintons did practically everything through their foundation and Trump should use the tax code that way as well.

I have been pondering a donor-advised charitable fund to make giving more efficient. The pool can grow and thus create more money over time to go to charity.

"In May, under pressure from the news media, Donald Trump made good on a pledge he made four months earlier: He gave $1 million to a nonprofit group helping veterans’ families.

Before that, however, when was the last time that Trump had given any of his own money to a charity?

If Trump stands by his promises, such donations should be occurring all the time. In the 15 years prior to the veterans donation, Trump promised to donate earnings from a wide variety of his moneymaking enterprises: “The Apprentice.” Trump Vodka. Trump University. A book. Another book. If he had honored all those pledges, Trump’s gifts to charity would have topped $8.5 million.

But in the 15 years prior to the veterans’ gift, public records show that Trump donated about $2.8 million through a foundation set up to give his money away — less than a third of the pledged amount — and nothing since 2009. Records show Trump has given nothing to his foundation since 2008.

So....I'm glad to hear that you will never again be criticizing Clinton's Foundation. Thanks for finally coming around
.

Look at this. Dogshit Otis has learned from the one whose ass he has his pointy nose shoved up.

Silly ass word games.

When you know how these things work, it isn't a fair analysis of the situation to say that media pressure made Trump make good on his million dollor vet entity donation.

Typically what happens is that appreciated stock is given.

For example, when Munger wanted to give to Stanford a big building to house grad students, he donated 40 million worth of BRK A.

Billionaires don't walk around with 1 million cash in their pockets, and they don't have tons of idle cash.

Is there abuse of the foundation system? Sure, but the tax code was set up to encourage charity and it does.

If you want to see money wasted, look no further than Gates.

Trump, like Sinatra, is one of those people with a mostly sub rosa history of good deeds, and that's really the best approach.

By the way, my real name is John Beresford Tipton.
#93593
That's nice, Mr Tipton (you must be about 150 years old by now) but tRump cannot and should not be accused of anything near to "good deeds". I know that, and you know that. He is entirely in the game for only himself.

My point above isn't about the pressure of the donation, but rather about his many "donations" that were never followed through on. About his propensity to not honor the things that he has said with his own mouth.

He IS the President (even though I 100% believe that it was acquired by shameful means), and there is nothing that I would like more than for him to be a success and actually help our country and citizens. But that's not happening, and I really don't believe that he has the capacity to do anything other than what he is doing now, and we both know what that is....and isn't.
#93610
I suppose if we had those tax returns that he said that he would make public at some time...then we would know for sure.

Or is he still being perpetually audited?

I'm not sure what's more laughable...Trump's claim of being under perpetual IRS audit or Johnnie's claim that Trump is making secret donations???

Elkin, it is very easy to search for Trump's background of charitable giving.

As a leftist, you are used to the posing and preening leftists do when they donate ten cents to charity.

Sinatra, who had a reputation as a snarling fellow surrounded by bodyguards, was actually "Mr. Anonymous" with a long history of private charitable giving.

Is Trump the same? Well, nobody knows, but it is easy to locate evidence that Trump has strong charitable impulses and you could locate such info yourself were you not too lazy to do so.

The Left couldn't care less about storm victims. It has only the purpose of attacking Trump.

Dogzilla wrote:tRump doesn't give. He only takes.
That explains why he donates his presidential salary to a charity in need. Thanks for that information Doggyshit

Your getting as bad as assclown by pulling shit out of your asshole and posting it as facts.
#93624
Trump donates his presidential salary, not only did Obama keep his salary, he put his mother-in-law on staff and gave her a salary where all she did was babysit. After 8 years as President, making $400K a year, Obama's net worth grew by 48 million. Do the math.

Only a moronic rightist could look at Trump not yet giving 1 million to charity and still give Trump credit for having given 1 million to charity.
Facileforbes is too stupid to understand that the road to hell is paved with Trump's myriad unfulfilled 'good intentions' in the past.
