Three roadside explosions left one Borussia Dortmund player injured in what police believe to be a targeted attack on Tuesday, resulting in a planned Champions League match being postponed.
Police are still investigating what they believe to be a targeted attack against the Borussia Dortmund team on Tuesday after three explosions went off near the team's bus on the way to a match. Spanish defender Marc Bartra was wounded in the blasts and taken to hospital where he had to undergo surgery after sustaining a broken bone in his wrist and other injuries. The Champions League game against AS Monaco has been postponed until Wednesday.

The three explosions were caused by an apparent IED remotely detonated with a mobile phone.

While authorities initially tried to downplay any possible terrorist connection, reports early this morning indicate that the case is now being considered a possible act of terrorism after a note found at the scene indicated a possible Islamist motive.Further reports indicated that a note found near the explosives began "in the name of Allah, the merciful," An edited Google Translate version of the note reads: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, unbelievers will be killed by our Blessed Brethren in Germany, we are now in great numbers and prepared to strike...

Islamist terrorists came within a hair's breadth of massacring one of Europe’s top football teams when they detonated three bombs close to a team bus, German authorities have revealed.

The three devices which exploded next to Borussia Dortmund’s coach were studded with metal shrapnel and pins, one of which pierced a window and embedded itself in a head rest.

The blast, which injured a player and a policeman, had a radius of more than 100 yards and federal prosecutors said it was lucky the toll was not more severe.

Lead prosecutor Frauke Koehle said: "Two suspects from the Islamist spectrum have become the focus of our investigation. Both of their apartments were searched, and one of the two has been detained."

A spokeswoman for Germany's federal prosecutor's office added: "We found several letters of responsibility. It appears that a possible Islamist motive is indeed possible.

Thank you Merkel for making their jihad against your citizens possible. Maybe the solution is to let another million in? Their Armies couldn't force their through your borders so they played upon your stupidity to enter.
