The posture of the Left after Trump's tweet never had any chance of success.

First, if you Google a little bit, you'll find that every phone call, email, tweet, etc is captured. Thus, it was always beyond dispute that Trump was surveilled. As president before Jan 20, Barry effectively ordered all that.

Secondly, even the NY Times and Guardian ran many articles on the wiretapping (yes, that's the word THEY used) of Trump before and after the election. On Inauguration Day, the Times ran on its front page the story "WIRETAPPING DATA USED IN INQUIRY OF TRUMP AIDES."

Thirdly, what Rice did was obviously absuse intel for political reasons. This is a bigger scandal than Watergate, but this time the Washington Post is silent because Dems are the ones who did the Watergate-type stuff.
