Intelligence and House sources with direct knowledge of the disclosure of classified names told Fox News that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now knows who is responsible -- and that person is not in the FBI but worked in the White House.
Unmasking the identify of an American citizen obtained during surveillance of a foreign government is a felony punishable with up to 10 years in prison.
At about the 6 year mark, even the intel agencies are so saturated by ideology that they become Pavlovian.The first thing Obama did was appoint 45 Czars to oversee/spy on every agency, those Czars reported directly to Obama, not the agencies they spied on. Those Czars then identified those in the agencies who didn't play along with Obama's agenda so they could be removed and replaced with people loyal to no one except Obama. After eight years of this our government is infested with Obama loyalists in high positions who aren't qualified for the positions they're in. Their only function is to make sure the agencies contribute to the agenda and target Americans who are a threat to it.

Susan Rice, former President Barack Obama's national security adviser, reportedly requested on several occasions the identities of "masked" U.S. persons in intelligence reports linked to President Trump's transition and campaign. This contradicts her past comments on March 22, when she claimed she knew "nothing" about the intelligence reports.
White House lawyers discovered Rice's dozens of requests last month, during a National Security Council review of the "government's policy on ‘unmasking' the identities of individuals in the U.S. who are not targets of electronic eavesdropping, but whose communications are collected incidentally," Eli Lake of Bloomberg reported Monday, citing U.S. officials.
But Rice, who Newsweek once called Obama's "right-hand woman," during a PBS interview last month denied having any knowledge of the intelligence community's alleged incidental surveillance of Trump's transition team.
Rep. Devin Nunes (R., Calif.), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, asserted in March that he had seen evidence that some of the Trump transition team's communications with foreign actors were surveilled by the Obama administration.
"What I've read seems to be some level of surveillance activity, perhaps legal, but I don't know that it's right and I don't know if the American people would be comfortable with what I've read," Nunes said.
On "PBS NewsHour" on March 22, Judy Woodruff asked Rice about Nunes' claims.
"I know nothing about this," Rice responded at the time. "I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that count today."
"So, today, I really don't know to what Chairman Nunes was referring, but he said that whatever he was referring to was a legal, lawful surveillance, and that it was potentially incidental collection on American citizens," added Rice, who went on to criticize Trump for his accusation that Obama wiretapped him during the presidential campaign.
Lake's reporting on Monday for Bloomberg appears to contradict Rice's answer.
Lake's sources told him that Rice wanted to "unmask" the names of the Trump team members in the intelligence reports, who otherwise would show up with generic titles like "U.S. Person One." "Unmasking" is not illegal when tied to a legitimate investigation, but civil liberty advocates worry the practice allows for backdoor surveillance of U.S. citizens.
"One U.S. official familiar with the reports said they contained valuable political information on the Trump transition such as whom the Trump team was meeting, the views of Trump associates on foreign policy matters, and plans for the incoming administration," Lake reports.
The House Intelligence Committee is expected to soon receive top-secret documents that investigators believe will show whether the private communications of Trump and his transition team were improperly gathered.

Circa News reported Monday that White House staffers found logs that document and date stamp President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice accessing intelligence reports that included associates of the Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign:
Intelligence sources said the logs discovered by National Security Council staff suggested Rice’s interest in the NSA materials, some of which included unmasked Americans’ identities, appeared to begin last July around the time Trump secured the GOP nomination and accelerated after Trump’s election in November launched a transition that continued through January.
The intelligence reports included some intercepts of Americans talking to foreigners and many more involving foreign leaders talking about the future president, his campaign associates or his transition, the sources said. Most if not all had nothing to do with the Russian election interference scandal, the sources said, speaking only on condition of anonymity given the sensitive nature of the materials.
When intelligence or law enforcement agencies accidentally gather information related to American citizens, outside their legally sanctioned collection mission, the data appears in reports with simple labels, such as American 1 or American 2. However, when the reports were circulated inside the Obama administration, the actual names were used, or unmasked, or labelled in a way that made the speaker’s identity obvious.
A high level FBI source said “Susan Rice requested the identities of U.S. persons in raw intelligence reports on dozens of occasions that all connect to the Donald Trump transition and campaign.” Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the National Security Council’s senior director for intelligence, was conducting a review of unmasking procedures when he “discovered Rice’s multiple requests to unmask U.S. persons in intelligence reports. Rice's requests directed the unmasking of any intelligence report concerning Trump or any member of his transition team.”The Grand Jury is already on it.
