Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this subchapter to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath that—
(A)the electronic surveillance is solely directed at—
(i)the acquisition of the contents of communications transmitted by means of communications used exclusively between or among foreign powers, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; or
(ii)the acquisition of technical intelligence, other than the spoken communications of individuals, from property or premises under the open and exclusive control of a foreign power, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title;
(B)there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person is a party; and
(C)the proposed minimization procedures with respect to such surveillance meet the definition of minimization procedures under section 1801(h) of this title; and

After todays testimony, it's clear Obama and his minions didn't follow the laws to conduct their wiretaps. Comey said, any wiretaps that may have been conducted were not legal, therefore I can't produce records to show they were conducted.

Good lord. One hates to imagine what Forbes has been promised in order to continue his incessant and incessantly erroneous cheerleading of Team Donnie.

Alex Jones is Forbes' information source and Alex Jones says...

Listened to Trey Gowdy lead Director Comey down the garden path this afternoon. Comey is a lawyer too, and knew he was being led and set up but there was nothing he could do except answer truthfully and try a little delay and obfuscation where he could. Gowdy was having none of it though and you could see the table being set for future depositions and testimony.

It was a masterful demonstration.
The libtards are shitting their Depends.

The issue isn't Alex Jones or Wikileaks or any of those leakers.

Has one single bit of Wikileaks material been wrong?

Not in 10 years.

The interesting thing is that, if the mainstream media were doing their job, Snowden would have been pointless.

But things do leak out, so then hopefully their accuracy can then be checked.

Just don't expect CNN to do it.

Listened to Trey Gowdy lead Director Comey down the garden path this afternoon.
Yep, Gowdy cornered Comey with his questions and established the *** were felonies leaving him no room but to investigate them.

He also bitch slapped Comey after setting him up when he asked him " OK we've established today that felonies took place by the wiretap releases and great harm was done to the intel communities' reputation and you agree. Yet you can't tell us if there is or will be an investigation? On the other hand you have confirmed with no hesitation, that there is an aggressive investigation into possible ties between Russia and the Trump campaign and yet we don't even know if a crime was committed or if harm was done?"

After sticking the knife in, Gowdy twisted it by pointing out that the wiretap guidelines are coming up for renewal and faces a Congressional vote and that if they fail to identify and hold accountable the person who leaked US citizens names to the media the public can't have trust providing them that much power in the future. He said it would be worse if there isn't even an investigation to identify the leaker.

Hillary kept classified info a private server for 4 years, exposing it to countless risks, and then deleted 33 THOUSAND emails.

Then wiped the server.

Comey let her completely skate free, and now he wants to pretend he cares about the reputation of the agency?

One thing for sure, Comey is wishing the last 12 months was just a dream. The dude has aged 10 years over the last year, you can see it in his face. I wouldn't doubt if he claim PTSD and retires.

They confirmed an ongoing Russia inquiry.

Apparently, in the course of that, was one of the October warrants which tapped Trump's server (outside the Tower) for a bit less than 2 weeks last October looking for pings between the server and 2 Russia banks.

They found nothing, and the inquiry moved on.

Perhaps what Comey said related to the magic notion that tapping a server outside the tower fit into the semantic game that Trump had not been tapped?

Trump's server was apparently tapped in October for just under 2 weeks as part of the ongoing inquiry into potential Russia influence on elections.

They were looking for pings between the Trump Organization and 2 Russia banks, but found none and moved on.

There were apparently 2 warrants, 1 FISA and 1 not, issued in October.

This was in addition to the Project Dragnet monitoring of Trump and many, many others by the NSA from 2004 to 2010 (and surely thereafter too but that database ends in the early years of Obama's tenure).

Bottom line, those on CNN and NBC and CBS who thought Obama was too dainty, too pure, to monitor Trump were just naive.

Merkel, Bibi, Hollande, James Rosen, Sharyl Atkisson, Dennis Kucinich...they were are surveilled too.

Liar...

Trump's servers were never searched.

This has nothing to do with any individual here.

It has to do with Trump's server, which was outside the tower, which was tapped to ascertain the presence or absence of pings between 2 Russia banks and the Trump Org.

They found none, wrapped up the scutiny in a bit less than 2 weeks, and moved on to the wider inquiry of Russian potential influence.
