State Department cable was sent to all ambassadors on Dec. 23 informing them they have to vacate their posts by Jan. 20 “without exceptions.”The party is over for those Obama minions and they can't take the chauffeured limos with them.
Democratic National Committeewoman Kathy Sullivan says she's "outraged" that President elect Trump would jeopardize diplomatic stability by not considering to leave some of the ambassadors in place or waiting to make transitions over periods of months.
Ronald E. Neumann, the president of the American Academy of Diplomacy, told the Times that he could not “recollect there was ever a guillotine in January where it was just, ‘Everybody out of the pool immediately.’”
However, Obama’s transition team sent out similar guidance -- eight years ago -- telling ambassadors appointed by President George W. Bush they had to leave their posts by Inauguration Day, with no exceptions.
The Washington Post reported in December 2008 that ambassadors would not be permitted to stay on and that “the sweeping nature of the directive suggests that Obama has little interest in retaining any of Bush's ambassadorial appointees who he felt he may not be able to trust to represent his views.”
