“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” Budda
It is inexcusable not to sit down with our own government experts at NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for a briefing before you appoint flagrant climate deniers with no scientific background To every senior environmental position. Thomas L. Friedman
We’ve got the scientists, we’ve got the lawyers, we are ready to fight!” A pugnacious speech filled the conference hall this morning at the American Geophysical Union Fall meeting in San Francisco where Governor of California Edmund Gerald "Jerry" Brown called upon the climate scientists of the world to stand up for truth and continue their research under the Trump presidency.

I promise you everything I do in California will be to bring common sense to the people of America. I promise for California and any other states that want to join, and hopefully Washington will combat climate change into the future.”

“We're a state where foreign leaders come to California, they come to Silicon Valley, they come to drink the water like a pilgrimage. California is a pivot point so that we can leverage what we are with others and wherever you are you can contribute to that. Don’t lose faith or get isolated. If anyone in Washington starts picking on researchers you can be sure you have a friend in California.”

“This is about working boldly and working together and understanding the power of who you are and what you can do. Governor Jerry Brown CA.

I'm certainly not a climate scientist, but then neither is Governor "Moonbeam" Jerry Brown.

History contains many episodes of scientic certitude, such as geocentricity, where later it was proven totally wrong.

Perhaps this will be one of them, perhaps not.

Peace and the survival of life on earth as we know it are threaten by human activities which lack a commitment to humanitarian values. Destruction of nature and nature resources results from ignorance, greed and lack of respect for the earth's living things.

This lack of respect extends even to earth's human descendants, the future generations who will inherit a vastly degraded planet if world peace does not become a reality, and destruction of the natural environment continues at the present rate.

Our ancestors viewed the' earth as rich and bountiful, which it is. Many people in the past also saw nature as inexhaustibly sustainable, which we now know is the case only if we care for it.

It is not difficult to forgive destruction in the past, which resulted from ignorance. Today, however, we have access to more information, and it is essential that we re-examine ethically what we have inherited, what we are responsible for, and what we will pass on to coming generations. Clearly this is a pivotal generation. Global communication is possible, yet confrontations take place more often than meaningful dialogues for peace.

Climate aside, isn't population growth the real, undiscussed global threat?

In 1930, less than a century ago, world population was 2.2 billion.

Now it is FIVE BILLION MORE.

Tell that to Trump who wants to criminalize abortion in the U.S..

And then, after producing a million more unwanted children a year, he will rail against the cost of food stamps and welfare to keep them alive once they are born.

“After hydrogen, the most common thing in the universe is stupidity.” – Albert Einstein

It just goes to show you that Einstein could be completely wrong, just like everyone else.

Hydrogen is the second most common thing. Dark matter is the first.

I must ask, once again, where is the imminently impending ice age that all these EXACT SAME climate hysterics back in the '70s were claiming was about to eliminate all life on earth unless we did something RIGHT NOW? They were breathlessly predicting an ice shelf covering North America as far south as Phoenix Arizona by the early 2000s.

But they were also predicting a massive increase in hurricane activity that has also failed to materialize.
NOAA has been caught fudging the data, those two climate hysteric professors in England have been caught via their email exchanges to be lying about global warming in order to further the climate hysteric agenda. And so on and so forth.
Anyone who looks on Governor Moonbeam as a rational and informed source on any topic is probably a Hillary voter and should move to California and support the movement to seceed from the Union.
As quickly as possible.

Not to mention that the hysterical left proclaimed that we would be "out of oil" by 2000.

You know, the left climate change crowd points to all their scientific proof that climate change is real, that man caused it, and therefore leads to taxing mankind as fixing the issue, or improving it.

With all the points posted in Intrepid's post above, the falsification, the lack of materialization of previous predictions, the generally wrong concept in the first place:

WHY DON'T THEY EVEN CONSIDER the fact that this is all about money, that the scientific community gets grant money, and that fact alone will cause science to be skewed in favor of the desired outcome????

They completely ignore that FACT.

The scientific establishment thought Galileo was wrong, but he wasn't.

There were whole areas of the world when Mendel's views were only very slowly accepted, and that was only when they couldn't get enough crop yield to feed their citizens.

Not until the year 1900 were Mendel, Planck, and Freud even published in English.

At any point where a scientific theory is seized upon by one group of politicians, as man-caused global warming has been by Democrats, the smart thing to do is remain skeptical.

Al Gore was a "C" student in media studies, then flunked out of law school. He is hardly some science genius.

I must ask, once again, how you clowns can just let Loser Boy Insipid get away with such nonsense without calling him on it. Three outright lies in his first two sentences alone and not one of you did a thing but swallow his bullshit without question.

"...where is the imminently impending ice age that all these EXACT SAME climate hysterics back in the '70s..."
These "EXACT SAME climate hysterics" don't exist, of course. This is Insipid's first lie.
That was 40 years ago and all of those guys are retired or dead. It's a whole new batch and a whole lot more climate scientists telling you about climate change today.

"...were claiming was about to eliminate all life on earth unless we did something RIGHT NOW?"
Never happened. Nobody ever said anything remotely like it. Loser Boy is making up stupid shit again. Lie #2

"They were breathlessly predicting an ice shelf covering North America as far south as Phoenix Arizona by the early 2000s."
More made up stupid shit. No one predicted an ice shelf would cover North America down to Phoenix in just 50 or 60 years. Lie #3

I haven't got time right now for the rest of Insipid's ignorance and lies.

I know how conservatives like Loser Boy Assclown Insipid hate reading actual science because it forces them to inform themselves. Conservatives like Insipid and sillydaddy reject facts out of hand and only respond emotionally. But read this article about the actual science of the time.
https://skepticalscience.com/ice-age-pr ... ediate.htm
(This "Skeptical Science" article should please johnforbes who wisely calls for "skepticism" toward the data supported consensus today. But where has hypocritical johnny ever called for a similar skepticism directed toward the unsupported beliefs of the deniers? He has never done so and never will.)

Loser Boy Insipid was, as usual, a dupe for sensation-driven magazine sales that had little to do with mainstream scientific consensus of the day. Even in the 1970s, the consensus leaned heavily toward warming. They were just less sure of it then.

There was never a broad scientific consensus about a "coming ice age". To pretend there was is either gross ignorance or gross dishonesty. Either might apply to Loser Boy.
In the 1970s there was only a small fringe group who denied global warming. Today there is still only a small fringe group that denies global warming. They are called conservatives, and they must be at least as ridiculous now as Insipid feels they were in the 1970s.

An episode of NOVA, the PBS series first aired in the 1970s and narrated by Leonard Nimoy and later re-broadcast (and just by luck, watched by me) in the early 2000s made all those assertions. In fact, the exact claim was, the ice shelf extending as far as Phoenix would be eleven feet thick (how the hell they came up with that random number was not explained). I'm certain that a great amount of shit was rained down on whoever allowed that episode to be re-broadcast right in the face of the global warming hysteria. All your ilk can do is chant, "wind and solar," you have no viable alternative. How do you plug in an airliner?

And try as you might AssClown Loose Canon, everyone here, including you and Elkindoofus knows full well the Exact Same climate hysterics (those that are still alive anyway, and other willing liars have stepped into the gap left by those liars that have died) that back in the 70s were wailing about the coming ice age are now in full throat wailing about man caused global warming. And it's all about money, the destruction of capitalism and the elimination of carbon based fuels. It has nothing to do with climate. (changed color just for you AssClown. Now you have something else to bleat about in your anticipated silly ass 3rd grade playground word game).

Your dirty little Marxist secret is out and no matter how much your Marxist masters insist you help spread the lie, intelligent, thinking people know the truth. But the emotion driven, knee jerk reactionary libtards like yourself and Elkindoofus buy and spread the bullshit. That's what makes you so valuable to your masters.

And thank you so much for wasting an hour or so composing and writing all that nonsense that nobody read.
But you read all this didn't you?
Owned.

Now, do your best to come up with something original and not mimic me.
But you can't so you will mimic me and spew emoticons as if that adds anything except to reveal your lack of intelligence and ability.

At 4:25 AM this morning, Clown-moid posts :

"I haven't got time right now for the rest of Insipid's ignorance and lies."

Then, at 4:32 AM he posts again. Seven minutes later. Now, all of a sudden seven minutes later, he has time....

Why does Clown-moid think that just because HE PROCLAIMS something to be a lie, that it is?
By Clownkicker
#82053
tvdumbfuck is too stupid to understand that everyone's posts from around the world show up on the screen in tvdumbfick's time zone at his local time, regardless of the local time of the poster. I wasn't up at 4:25 a.m. or 4:32 a.m. you imbecile.
Ask RealTool what time he has for those posts, just for an example. In his time zone it shows 2:25 and 2:32 a.m. for those posts. He may lie about it, but he will know the truth.
Criminy, how do you morons manage to get dressed and eat in the same day? Unless somebody is dressing and feeding you that is.

Now if tvdoofus will notice, my first post was about specific lies in Loser Boy's post. I only wasted time addressing three. There are many more, but I didn't have more time to waste on them, just as I said. There were more important issues to address--the larger picture of the reality behind 1970s cooling predictions.
The second post is about the general facts of climate science in the 70s, not just Loser Boy Insipid's lies.
And as expected, none of you clowns could be bothered to read the article because then you would have to face reality.
Your party propaganda would buckle and you would be left with nothing but the terror of reactionary ignorance and fears.

If you can't see the difference between "the specific" and "the general" then you shouldn't be posting to discussion boards anywhere, tvdunce.

"Why does His Lordship think that just because HE PROCLAIMS something to be a lie, that it is?"-tvdildo

I don't think any such thing, dimwit. I think it's a lie because I read the magazine articles Insipid is misrepresenting back when they came out. Again, I know more than you because I valued education, whereas you didn't.
What you should be asking is why does Loser Boy Insipid think that just because HE PROCLAIMS something to be true, that it IS? You still don't notice that he hasn't posted any evidence to back up his phony claims. He just posted another igno-rant of lies about me without any evidence to back them up either.
I have repeatedly debunked his bullshit with facts but you keep believing every bowel movement he posts without question. It's truly unbelievable to me that anyone could be so stupid as to do that, but you are.
You never seem to notice that he never has any evidence for any of his claims. He wouldn't even post a link to his fictional NOVA show because it doesn't exist. I posted a link to support what I claimed, but you couldn't be bothered to enlighten yourself. Facts are irrelevant to your delusional view of reality.

YOU ALWAYS miss the point. ALWAYS. WITHOUT FAIL. The point was NOT about 4:25 AM dipshit. The point was that you posted you didn't have any more time to waste, and then seven minutes later....all of a sudden you come back. You are totally owned. You cannot even get your mind off it for seven minutes. It eats at you.....

"The point was that you posted you didn't have any more time to waste,..."-tvdense

No, I didn't. That's a lie.
I never said I didn't have more time to waste, you lying sack of shit.
If I had, you could have quoted me saying it, but you can't. Comment on what I actually said or shut up.

What I actually said is that "I haven't got time right now for the rest of Insipid's ignorance and lies."

I can have all sorts of time for other things, you imbecile, without having any time to specifically pick apart Loser Boy's myriad lies.

And I couldn't care less where you "think" I am. I've never been anywhere near North Carolina. You're as wrong about that entire time zone as you are wrong about EVERYTHING else you think about me, which is all crap made up by Loser Boy and your own delusions.

You're an absolute ass.

"Oh, I see, word games again....I ad-libbed and added "waste"."-tvd

But YOU'RE the one playing the word games, dimwit. You made something up and then attributed it to someone else.
You fucked up and instead of apologizing, you're mad at me because you fucked up.
That's insane. It's like your mind is controlled or something.
You could save yourself a lot of humiliation by simply copy-and-pasting whatever I said that pisses you off so much.
9 times out of 10 you will see that I never said what you thought I said in the first place. Like now.

"And again skipping right over the point that he cannot even let seven minutes go by."-tvdud

And you skipped over EVERY one of the points in my posts, you hypocritical fuck. You never addressed even one of them until you admitted that I didn't say what you claimed I said. Then you're going to pretend there's something wrong with me ignoring one point of yours when you ignored all the points of mine?
Fucking dishonest weasel.

But I didn't skip anything because your point is just more of your delusions.
I can post whenever I want, just like you do. I was posting last night and I wasn't finished yet.
So what is wrong with continuing to post until I'm done without being called "owned" or some idiot saying my mind is controlled, you hypocritical fuck?
Not having time for Loser Boy's lies does not mean I don't have time for other things.

You yourself frequently post three and even four times in a row just minutes apart on a single thread. That must mean you're "owned" and it "eats you", right?
Stop projecting your pathetic life onto me.
That's what's really so moronic about you clowns. You criticize others for doing what you do yourself.
And not one of you has anything to say about the article I linked.
Stop making a fool of yourself, dimwit.

If he could care less, then why does he not care less? The correct phrasing is, "He could NOT care less.
