What is it for some 'pirate' to pay 20 bucks a month for "exclusive content" from ANY site when he knows he can download 30 days worth and sell it all over the WORLD for 10, 20, maybe even 100 times what he paid for his 1 month subscription? Does this not occur to anyone other than me?
Do you lock your car doors when you drive downtown? Why? Any thief with a brick can break into your car. Makes no sense to lock your car. What about your house when you leave on vacation? Do you lock the front door? Any thief can break inside and steal everything. You might as well leave the doors and windows open for them. That is your logic here.
Providing a little security goes a long, long way of sending the thieves to look at easier places to rip off. Yes, a few thieves do download RC and HC material and post elsewhere. Often those sites are discovered, and the former

With the front door wide open, the bots are crawling. Now, a simple search in any popular search engine might produce the full explicit images of a contributor who preferred a little plausible denial.
The problem is not that someone could steal the content. The problem is the probabilities of someone discovering that you'd not want to see your pics/clips. Previously, the probability was low. This increases that probability dramatically.
Add to that, the broken trust of the agreement over the years between VW and contributor.
