More riots and LOOTING over a police shooting of a civilian. I understand the right to protest (But peacefully) but the looting eludes me. This is criminal action not protesting. When the pharmacy in Baltimore was looted black on black killings escalated to levels not seen before.
A basic fact keeps popping into my mind. Why didn't the accused just listen to the police. If the citizen is abused by the police there are several remedies for redress. It seems to me that there would be no police shootings of civilians if citizens complied with police orders.
Then there's this...where are the protests, rioting and looting over fthe 90 police killed in the line of dut so far in 2016?.
I ask all to remember that the police are there to protect those citizens in the community that are acting lawfully. All police take an oath to protect law and order in the community. Many citizens skip over the "order" part of the oath. Police often have to venture into that gray area to protect civil order. If a bunch of unruly and obnoxious citizens are on a street corner the police might be well advised to disperse them even though, technically, they have a right to be there.
I ask all to remember that the police are there to ensure that a civilized society can exist and that the citizenry can grow and thrive. Without the police there would be anarchy.
