They both have received billions in tax dollars riding off of the global warming craze, the owners and investors almost all prior D.C. insiders who are worth 100's millions operating companies that wouldn't exist without the billions in tax dollars holding them up. So how is it allowed that a company $3.35 billion in debt allowed to buy another indebt company for $2.6 billion that came from a government loan? Oh by the way the CEO of Tesla owns 20% of the stock in SolarCity. We all know what's happening, they're milking the cow as long as they can get away with it and when the people finally have had enough, they'll say oh well we tried to save the planet, walk away from the debt to the government with billions combined in their personal bank accounts. Two of SolarCity's executives are former Clinton Foundation associates with several coming from the Obama administration.

You my friends, are the cow they're milking dry.

As Clowntoker knows, every morning I rise, drink half a glass of OJ, do 500 situps in sets of 100, do my first daily routine with the barbells.

After that, I make coffee and read every new post on the Internet.

This amounts to reading about a million new posts every morning.

So far, I have not read this thread.

"What's made up about it?"-tvd

Why don't you google it and then come back and YOU tell ME what's made up about it.

You don't even have to analyze his idiotic speculations and rationalizations to see it's made up and that Tool hasn't the foggiest idea what he's talking about.

No, why don't you prove your allegation that the post is "made up"? Your allegation, your burden of proof.
#76157
Because if I do I have to sit here and watch you spit and shit bricks about how I google everything and pretend to know everything. I don't want to be responsible for your next coronary.

Anyone can find out the biggest thing that's wrong with his post in under a minute.
If you can't be bothered, then I can't be bothered.

So, Clownmoid, I guess it is apparent that YOU have posted some made up shit, in that you admittedly don't know if the story is true or not, and have not vetted it yourself.

Good. I guess it will go un-vetted. You are really going to have to quit posting this made up shit you post...

Tool, you don't understand the first thing about debt, and particullary debt with start-up companies even less.

Debt is not necessarily a bad thing. Every bank you ever heard of runs by creating debt.
Debt provides opportunity.

You have no idea that half the debt of SolarCity is equipment sitting on people's roofs and is being leased from the company. So what sounds like a huge drain on the company to a tool like you or tvd is really operating cash flow.
The other big factor in the company not taking off sooner is that the price of oil hitting the crapper has made short-sighted tools like you think it isn't cost effective to buy solar when it is far easier to just keep trashing the planet with drilling, fracking, needless driving, and other greenhouse gas production.
This keeps solar from being cost competitive enough to sway a myopic society.

These companies are a serious attempt to look to the future, both environmentally and economically. That you're too deaf, dumb, and blind to see it does not make it a fraud. It just makes you a dimwitted dinosaur.

By the way, Tool, the Tesla would easily humiliate your pathetic gas-guzzling dick substitute in the quarter mile or 0-to-60.
And it looks better too.

You're part of the problem dude, you're an enabler. It's $3.6 Billion in debt but yet it's top executives have 10's of millions in their private bank accounts. They are milking this feel good save the planet, dump money on it thing as long as they can...then when the cow says no more milk, they retire super rich.
#76173
Tool, you've just described every last member of every board of directors of every last corporation in the world.
Believe it or not, every last one of them is in it for the money. And they will take every last penny they can legally take, and then some.

You can't fault these guys for the things you don't fault all the rest for. Everything they're doing is legal.

If you hate our corporate capitalism system so much, just say so. At least I could sympathize with you on that.

The only difference is they're playing people like you for a fool, they pretend they're doing it to make your life better so you need to give them your money while they fly on their private jets and rest assured they don't drive hybrids or live in homes with small carbon footprints. It's when turds like them and our government make it "MANITORY" I give them my money that pisses me off. Sure there's greed in other businesses but I get to "chose" if I give them my money.

johnforbes wrote:Population of globe less than a century ago was about 5 billion less than now.

Too many people, isn't that the central environmental problem?
Forbes nails it!!
Now.....What are we gonna DO about it?
One....we could come up with ideas that will things better for the Earth and it's inhabitants while we are here.....
Or..............
Two....We could gas those extra 5 billion human vermin and turn em into fertilizer.

I kinda like #two, but that's just me.

See the issue here is he posts it like he knew it all along. No fucking way he knew whose debt is whose without Google. And then he calls everyone deaf, dumb, and blind....what a dickhead.

The preceding informative announcement was brought to you by Google, the GO TO source for those that know everything. For additional information it is recommended that you consult Yahoo Answers, or in a pinch, Ask.com.

Tax payers didn't foot the majority of the bill for mine, I don't have to be a 1%'er to afford one, I can repair anything on it in my garage, I don't need to stop to recharge it, and for the kicker, I assure you that a Tesla "won't" still be on the road over 40 years from now. A five year old Tesla will be either a money pit or hazmat garbage that tax payers once again will have to pay for. Get back in your stall cow!

Tool, every time you get trounced you continue your deflections and diversions and hope no one will notice.

What's up with that, dude?

If you're already that embarrassed by your vroom-vroom car, imagine how people are laughing at you when you drive by looking like a douche.
You drive a 40-yer-old car and then criticize Cuba because people are driving 60-year-old cars instead of Teslas, fer cripes sake.
