As an investor myself for decades, I find it odd that Goldman plays so large a role.

Repub candidates and spouses collectively held 57 Goldman investments versus 28 from Vanguard. (Vanguard is mostly index-oriented, but it has about 30 percent actively managed too.)

Heidi Cruz is on leave from her job as a managing director at Goldman’s wealth management arm...

Eight of the Repubs, Trump, Cruz, Carson, Jeb, Kasich, Fiorina, Christie, and Jim Gilmore said in financial disclosures they owned Goldman funds or Goldman stock...

I've been thinking for some time now that easy (a relative term) access to information would help bring down totalitarian regimes such as China, Cuba, North Korea etc. It seems that the Powers That Be in this country never consider that that same easy access will deny them the ability to hide their nefarious schemes and plots.
