Texas teacher arrested after video shows her slapping student. A Texas high school teacher was arrested Friday after a video surfaced online that shows her repeatedly striking a student in the head.

In the nine-second video, a teacher identified by NBC News as Mary Hastings of Ozen High School in Beaumont, slaps a student five times after an apparent disruption in the class.

“Because you’re stopping him from graduating, you idiot ass!” Hastings says while slapping the student.

“Why you did that?” the student asks after Hastings strikes him.

Funny how some kid was ready with his phone to video the whole thing.........

Almost looks like a setup....is the kid smiling afterwards looking at the camera?

parents will now sue the school district for millions and split the money with the teacher.

At 63...the teacher knows better...and it's time to retire...what better way than to take

a few million from the people that underpaid you all these years :lol:

Exactly my thoughts! The teacher will walk out with her full retirement and a few hundred thousand dollars bonus from the kid's attorney as her split. What should happen is the teacher is responsible for her own actions and has to give up part of her retirement instead of tax payers having to pay up, but we all know that won't be the case.

Recently saw where a Walmart security guard and his girlfriend to away with a similar type scheme.

He caught a shoplifter, roughed her up in front of everyone, (a witness happened to tape it) dragged her to a changing room and made the 17 year old girl strip down, Walmart paid out big bucks to the girl and the security guard lost is $12.00 an hour job. In return the girl didn't wish to file criminal charges against Walmart's guard or go to the press. But then the "couple' got greedy. They tried the same scheme at a Macy's but an alert private investigator questioned why someone driving a $120K AMG Mercedes would be working as a security guard so did some digging. He found that the guard and the girl lived together and the same person taped this incident as at Walmart. They suspected they had done this at other locations but they lawyered up, unknown what ever happened to them, probably right back at it.
