Donald Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was charged today with battery of former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields during a March 8 incident at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida, police said.

Lewandowski was charged with one count of simple battery, a misdemeanor, by the Jupiter Police Department.

“Lewandowski then grabbed Fields’ left arm with his right hand, causing her to turn and step back,” according to the police report, describing new video of the incident. “Based on the above-described investigation, probable cause exists to charge Corey Lewandowski.”

The Trump campaign responded in a statement asserting Lewandowski’s innocence.

“Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge. He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court. He is completely confident that he will be exonerated.”

Police documents say that Lewandowski was charged this morning. He was released with a notice to appear in court, police said. Jupiter Police told ABC News that Lewandowski is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.

Lewandowski's attorney could not be immediately reached by ABC News for comment.

Florida state code categorizes a first-time battery as a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.

An arm grab?

Heavens to Betsy, that's the most violent thing I ever heard.

The solution is simple -- claim Trump's campaign fosters a climate of violence, and ignore Black Lives Matter, Moveon.org, Occupy Wall Street, and the actual thugs who shoot people every night in Chicago.
#70334
What a fucking pussy-fied country we have become.

Grab a person's arm and get a year in jail....shit.

But illegally enter the country, not once but 5 times, and Obama's admin as well as San Fran PD look the other way.
Shit...no crime here....

Oh, and thanks Elk for bringing this up....I knew you would be all over this as you no doubt think this is some horrible affront to the pansy reporter, who had to stop and turn around due to the crime....
#70339
She pushed her way in and got in Trump's face, I'm surprised the Secret Service didn't tackle her, Trump's manager used the least amount of force necessary to protect Trump. When she first told the story, she claimed she was no where near Trump but was grabbed and dragged almost to ground but was able to stay on her feet. The lying bitch. Not even her own paper accepted her story.
#70344
So you stupid assholes are going to claim that Trump was the victim and that the woman was the assailant?
Watch the tape, she pushed her way into Trump, if she had a knife she could have killed him. Her actions were reckless and she's lucky she wasn't taken to the ground. Let her try and push her way up to Hillary and watch what happens.
#70348
The media immediately goes to Kasich and Cruz for their opinions....and surprise, surprise !

Not wanting to be left behind, Hillary takes a jab at Trump too..

But what they don't realize is that it's going to happen to them....and what are they going to do when the media

believes that now they have unrestricted access to all the candidates....and complaints are filed against their

people, when they are stopped....Hillary doesn't like anyone near or around her....

I bet the first asshole to try it will be Ramos ...the one Trump threw out that time....He is also the one that

asked Hillary what was she going to do if she got indicted!

It will be fun to watch when it happens to her

Did she break the law?
#70388
First, the law does not concern itself with trifles, and that is what the Fields claim is.

Secondly, Fields did barge in between Secret Service agents and they should have taken her down given the recent history of people trying to attack Trump.

Thirdly, Elkin has indeed attacked a bag of potato chips but was rebuffed there too.

Watch the video (I did) and make up your own mind. Apparently she didn't realize there was video when she first shot her mouth off. Then Trump provided the video from his own cameras.

Her story changed. Suddenly she was no longer, "Almost body slammed to the ground."

She is seen moving through the Secret Service agents and reaching for Trump. He glances down as he feels her hand grab his arm. They do nothing to impede her and Trump's manager obstructed her, as he should have done. She could have had a weapon in her hand instead of a ball point pen, who knew at that moment?

This is just more media attempts to malign Trump and cause his campaign damage.

One outcome is for sure, from now on NOBODY gets near any of the candidates without being body slammed. This is a black eye for the agency charged with protection.

And they know it.

So it's OK for Hillary's aides to grab and shove people?
#70444
Newly released video clearly show Trump's manager didn't grab her, he walked between her and Trump startling her and she jumped back, she even had a smile on her face. Her credibility is shot!

After release of the new video FOX news also fired her.
Michelle Fields has just been fired from Fox News' Cashin' In in the latest fallout over #GragGate and her allegations Trump campaign manger Corey Lewandwoski assaulted her and, "aggressively tried to pull me to the ground," and insinuating that he "[attempted] to forcefully throw" her down when all evidence shows he tried to non-verbally signal to her that the press conference was over and that Trump was leaving.

(CNN) — The state attorney's office in Palm Beach County, Florida, will not prosecute Donald Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski for battery, according to sources familiar with the case.

Trump forcefully rejected calls from his rivals to suspend or fire Lewandowski, saying Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America," that "The other candidates, they said, 'Oh, I should fire him.' That's because they're weak, ineffective people. They want to be politically correct. I don't want to be politically correct. I want to be correct."
The prosecutor knowing he didn't have a case, tried to get Lewandowski to publicly apologize to Fields in return for dropping the case, but Lewandowski refused and told him to take it to trial. In response to the reports the charges would be dropped, Fields tweeted: "Prosecutor's office told me they would inform me of decision tomorrow. If reports true, guess they decided to leak to reporters first. Ugly."

Another huge win for Trump for doing the right thing rather than the politically correct and easy thing to do. Fields career as a credible source is over. Lewandowski has hinted he may seek defamation charges against her.
#70868
There's a legal saying that the law does not get involved in trifles.

Whatever happened, it was petty.

Trump's press man was not even looking at Fields. He was brushing aside people to get Trump out and to the next event.

Fields will try a civil suit, but that's why Trump never settles them -- because people constantly try to shake down a billionaire to get money.

Trump was talking about the statue....I guess the statue is dead too

Got handed to those Pennsylvania folk....they turn on you at a blink of an eye.

Heard Philly finally apologized to the Jackie Robinson family....

Prosecutors in Palm Beach County, Florida announced Thursday that a potential criminal battery case against Donald Trump's campaign manager is dead in the water, calling into question the version of events presented by a reporter who filed the criminal complaint.

Among other inconsistencies, investigators found that Fields began the altercation by leaving the press area, entering the 'protective bubble' of Secret Service and staff security surrounding Trump, touching him in the process.

Investigators say Fields said that she had never got close enough to touch Trump, but added: 'That's not what we see captured on the video.'

The video evidence shows the Republican front-runner pulling away from her after she makes contact.

The Spellman video was first surfaced by a news outlet called Lead Stories. The technology executive's police interview came more than three weeks after the March 8 incident.

But he told an officer that a photo in the New York post was shot from the same point of view he had in the ballroom at Trump International Golf Club in Jupiter.

'I had a straight shot at what was going on,' he said.

'From my perspective, I was just looking at her rush him ... and then suddenly she makes a dramatic spin and turn that looked like a fraudulent slip-and-fall. I mean, it was just blatant.'

'It looked so, so – disproportionate, is the right word,' Spellman says on the video.

'It was bizarre. And I studied her after, because at first I thought she was drunk.'

Also weighing against Spellman's account is that he explains why he was watching Fields so closely.

'I was looking right at her ... I also noticed she had jeans on. You don't get into that club with jeans on,' he said. 'So, uh, she looked pretty good in them, by the way.
This is the second time Fields has been busted for making false allegations, she will never be trusted again.
#70923
......Despite Lewandowski not facing prosecution, Fields said that something positive has come from the highly publicized incident.
“I think a lot of people realized the character of the Trump campaign as a result of this. That to me is a victory.”

This statement alone will be enough for any court to throw out her suit.....

#70933
Another reason they discounted her story is that the bruise is just above her wrist, the video shows the only contact between Fields and Lewandowski was above her elbow as Lewandowski extended his arm to block her from Trump.

Lewandowski has more than enough grounds to sue her ass off, she used her position as a reporter to stage the whole thing then not only slandered Lewandowski but filed a false fake police against him.

johnforbes is too stupid to realize his trademark schtick is pushing the same copy-and-paste boulder up a hill only to be flattened by it as it rolls to the bottom to be futilely copy-and-pasted again.

If only he had understood Socrates when johnny's teacher tried to beat a little wisdom into his thick skull by explaining to the boneheaded forbes that the unexamined life is not worth living.
For gods sake take a look at yourself for once, dimwit.

Way to humiliate yourself once again by flaunting your wasted education that you obviously didn't learn a thing from, johnny.

Now Fields is suing to get her job back claiming it wasn't her choice to quite but she was forced to make a statement that just because she's a female doesn't mean she shouldn't be taken serious. How can anyone take Fields serious? She says she has a big announcement this weekend for her "followers"

I read that Lyingwandowski is out of the mix in the Trump regime. He first botched the arm grab. Then bullshitted about the delegate selection process in Florida on Hoax news of all places.

Trump brings in another joker to take over for Corey and spits this gem out...

Fixing personality negatives is a lot easier than fixing character negatives. You can’t change somebody’s character, but you can change the way a person presents himself

How stupid can you be to blurt out that Trump is nothing more than a shameless self promoter? Unbelieveable!

To Grog's point (being generous and granting he might be capable of making one), pretty much any young minority female could start a career by pretending to be conservative given the fact that most "journalists" are leftist nuts like Grog and Elkin.

Fields speaks Spanish, and is partly Hispanic, so perhaps she pulled a Liz Warren and pretending to be x percent minority?

Or perhaps she is 100 percent nutty, like Elkin?
