When a U.S. special operations team suddenly surrounded the car carrying the Islamic State's second in command, he was given the split-second option of surrendering. Instead, he began firing.

Details of the takedown emerged Friday, including descriptions of the elite U.S. assault force arriving in helicopters as drones flew overhead, tracking him.

When al-Afri refused to surrender, he and all those with him were killed.
Our troops have learned not to bring them back alive or they'll be paired up with attorneys, pampered and then released to return to the battle field. Over the last few years, oddly all of the terrorists are refusing to be taken alive. Good job guys, good job!

RealTool is praising Obama's anti-terrorism policies.
Obama was drinking champagne and doing the tango with a communist when our troops took out the bad guy. Had Obama known about it he would have stopped the operation and if ever found out they killed the dude rather than taking him alive he would prosecute the troops involved.

Ah, so you're saying that seven years into his Presidency, Obama has no responsibility for the results achieved by those under his command? He has no responsibility for the policies that resulted in the death of this guy, right?

Careful, Tool, it's a trap.

It has been spoken about, quietly, that a Naval officer gave the order to shoot the pirates who kidnapped the captain of the freighter when it became clear Obozo couldn't make up his mind.

It is a fact that Obozo was nowhere to be found, let alone in the Situation Room when the raid on bin Laden took place (it has been suggested he was upstairs playing cards with his boyfriend...suggested by none other than that boyfriend).

It is no great stretch to think the military realizes that some things need to be done and won't wait for an unqualified, incompetent fool to dither and dally until opportunities are lost.

It's more likely that one of Abd al-Rahman's own gave him up....

I doubt Obama has ever given the orders for any of the high profile take downs

in the Arab world....more likely the Arab bosses call Obama and tell him who they want hit.

It all works out well for all of them....they get to tie up a loose end....Obama stays in good

standing with his Arab bosses and America takes the heat for the killings....No down side!

I remember when the conservatives were lambasting Obama for launching drone strikes against Americans who were conducting terrorist "activities" in foreign countries claiming that Obama was violating their constitutional right of due process.

Now all of a sudden conservatives are lambasting Obama for claiming that he will provide due process for foreigners captured for performing terrorist "activities."

WTF!!!
