Obama has slashed the meager pay and retirement benefits of our military members over the years while bloating the benefits he'll received upon leaving office. Obama increased Secret Service protection and transportation for children of former Presidents from up to 21 years old, to life time coverage. So for the rest of their lives, Malia and Sasha will be snapping their fingers for their tax paid armed servants to make sure they're not only safe but to make sure their wants and needs are taken care so they don't have to bother booking flights or driving themselves, they just tell their Secret Service Agents this is what I want, make it happen.

To top it off, yesterday Obama increased the amount of money available to former Presidents annually by 18% to $3.8 million a year.

Mean while he considers the $30,000 a year retirement for a military person overly generous and increased the number of years they must serve to obtain a pension while freezing their pay for years below cost of living increases.

Bloated government, this sort of thing accounts for the popularity of Trump.

Harry Truman drove himself home after leaving the presidency, and back then he got no pension.

Today, with speaking fees, Obama will receive millions for giving race-baiting talks after leaving the presidency.

JustFreedManIntrepidMe, why do you feel the need to constantly mis and dis-inform simpletons like Forbes and Simple Silly?

Can TVD and "Intrepid" be far behind on the low intelligence/low information mini-bus?

Read Obama latest action and weep!
“The President’s FY2017 budget has $3,865,000 in appropriations for expenditures for former Presidents, an increase of $588,000 (17.9%) from the FY2016 appropriation level. The increase in requested appropriations for FY2017 anticipates President Barack Obama’s transition from incumbent to former President,” the report reads.

“For FY2016, President Obama requested and received appropriations of $3,277,000 for expenditures for former Presidents–an increase of $25,000 from FY2015 appropriated levels.”

The Former Presidents Act, enacted in 1958, provides living former presidents with a pension, office staff and support, funds for travel, Secret Service protection, and mailing privileges. It also provides benefits for presidential spouses

"The Former Presidents Act, enacted in 1958,..." Why, that scumbag!

So this is another of those far-sighted brilliant moves by Obama's mother back when he was born, huh? Like when she was in Kenya and put his birth announcement in the newspaper in Hawaii so that Barrack could be President when he grew up.
And now all that shifty long range planning she did by planting the Former Presidents Act into law for her toddler son is about to pay off big time....BWAHHAAHAAAHAAAHAAA!

Tool, you do realize that Presidents ask for all sorts of things in their budget proposals and they know full well that they aren't going to get any of it, don't you?
But the rest of your bullshit about Obama cutting the pay and pensions of the military? Only your typical brain-dead Trump supporter would believe that made up stupid shit.

It's very telling when a millionaire asks for a 18% increase while saying a 1.5% increase is enough for soldiers defending our country with a 1/3 of them qualifying for food stamps because of their low wages.
#69894
I have no doubt your crew is buying that hook, line and sinker, JustFreedManIntrepidMe.

After all, you're their leader.

P.S. The House, breaking with protocol and tradition, refused to even look at, much less act on the budget Obama sent them a couple months ago. But keep swinging. lol

johnny, I understand that RealTool doesn't understand three syllable English words like "partisan" but you should know better.

There is nothing partisan about my post, dimwit.
I clearly posted about ALL Presidents.
RealTool is the one with a clearly partisan post, you moron.

johnforbes has fucked up again as a partisan asshole.

He has fucked up more assholes than Liberace.

Given my intrinsic fairness, I shall assign trusty staff members to go back and read over Clowntoker's posts.

Upon receipt of their report, I shall revisit my prior thoughts.

For the present moment, suffice it to say that Clowntoker makes Liberace look macho.

There you go again clown, exactly what Hillary is trying to say about her exposing our country's top secrets. Now you defend Obama giving himself a 18% retirement increase while saying 1.5% for our military members is enough by saying it wasn't illegal. The reason Trump is this nation's last great hope.

And the GOP doesn't seem eager to stop him?

#70019
BTW, were these raises done by executive order or some other method?
As in every other case Obama obligates the money, spends it and then accuses the GOP of wanting to shut down the government unless they approve of paying his bills.
#70171
Well the Democrats in the Senate agree with the need to increase Obama's retirement budget by 18% but feel compensation for retired military members is "overly generous" so they're looking at decreasing the suggested 1.5% COLA increase for them.
