CNN-The Defense Dept. has just announced that no further action will be taken against General Patraeus. He was allowed to plead to a misdemeanor charge for passing classified documents to his mistress (journalist.) He will keep his rank and be allowed to retire with full pension.
What is wrong here...doesn't anyone realize what effect precedent has on future cases brought before the courts? I guess this means that Snowden can come home and plead to a misdemeanor charge too. Does this mean that treason is now a misdemeanor?
Sorry for the rant but I am highly pissed off by the handling of this matter. There are too many "untouchables" in this world.
