Secretary of State John Kerry confirmed the United States also removed all Interpol red notices and dismissed any charges against 14 Iranians previously sought but not in U.S. custody. When asked if there were other concessions Kerry stated yes but he wasn't a liberty to discuss those.

So Obama erases Iran's past crimes and kills any future investigations into them while releasing 7 of their primary players in developing nuclear weapons. Why is it Obama gives terrorists what they want at the peril of the United State? Why would Obama tell Interpol to remove red notices and allow identified terrorists to go about business as usual? That wasn't the problem in Iraq.

The problem was, if we wanted to go in at all, it shouldn't have been going in very light with the "war" outsourced to the Northern Alliance.

If you want to fight a war, you must enter with overwhelming force, a definition of what victory means, and a clear plan for a rapid departure.

None of that prevailed in Iraq, none of it.

It dragged on for a decade with not one ounce of urgency.

The first Thanksgiving there, the TV showed American soldiers with cable TV so they could watch football while eating dinner. In other words, the settling in process had begun, and soldiers would come off patrol and fire up their laptops 5 minutes later and be emailing and on Skype.

When a soldier can almost be "at home" electronically, it can diminish focus on the task.

On a another matter the White House expressed concern that the kill ratio compared to number of those taken into custody by our military members has risen drastically. Apparently there's concern the military is no longer taking advantage of opportunities to capture them alive. I'm betting grunts on the ground have figured out that if they capture them alive, grunts will probably be fighting them again when this administration sets them free.
