LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps them find the person who put raw bacon on the door handles of a Las Vegas mosque.

The FBI said in a statement Wednesday that several agents are trying to find the man seen in a surveillance video putting the meat on the entrances of the Masjid-e-Tawheed mosque. Authorities call it a desecration of the Islamic worship center and a hate crime.

The Quran, the holy book of Islam, prohibits Muslims from eating pork.

Las Vegas police spokesman Larry Hadfield said the bacon was wrapped on the door knobs.

Officials at the mosque couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

The FBI said the incident happened about 3:15 a.m. Dec. 27. The culprit is described as a white man wearing a dark blue hat, jacket and black-framed glasses. He had black or dark brown hair with long, thin sideburns.

The site west of the Las Vegas Strip wasn't damaged, and no one was hurt. The mosque was empty at the time, and the case was reported by members who came to worship later that morning.

What a waste of resources, they probably had to pull Agents off the Hillary investigation to work on this one. Let me clarify, when I say waste of resources I'm talking about the bacon, the DOJ Agents are just puppets used to target enemies of the regime.

Since the DOJ and courts have declared offending a religion is not a crime how can this be anything more than a minor vandalism crime, why is the FBI involved? Remember all the bible and cross burnings that took place in our universities, not one single arrest, so how can simply offending the Koran be a crime? It's a sad time in America's history when it's acceptable and even celebrated by our tax paid universities to burn bibles and American flags but offending the Koran is a felony, requiring the full force of the DOJ to come down on the offender. I'm betting if someone put a piece of meat on my door knob the local police and the FBI would refuse to even take a report. This was a simple vandalism event that didn't even cause any damages. This is another example of why Trump is so popular.
