In the first clip at last night’s CNN’s Democratic presidential primary debate in Las Vegas, candidate Hillary Clinton said of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), “I did say when I was secretary of state three years ago that I hoped it would be the gold standard. It was just finally negotiated last week and in looking at it did not meet my standards.”How did Hillary get access to a draft classified government document? She admitted on live National Television that she had looked at it and it did not meet her standards. Did she just make that up or did she violate the law?
Wednesday at the White House press briefing, when asked if it was possible she actually looked at the agreement because it had not yet been released, press secretary Josh Earnest said, “Yeah I noticed that too,” adding because “the details matter” they “look forward to, as soon as possible, being able to put forward the text of the agreement so that everybody can review it and make their own judgment.”
