I apologize to the board for my part in reducing Insipid to the babbling vegetable we see represented here in this thread.
I forgot that challenging the delusions of the mentally ill can drive them to a psychotic break, a world in which they believe members of the KKK actually vote Democrat and not Republican. It's very sad.
But after bringing Insipid to a place of drooling silence on the "10 reasons to vote Democrat by David Letterman" thread, where confronting him with facts which conflicted with his warped world view to such a degree that it made a response to reality impossible, his mind just shut down and drifted into a total fantasy world which is presumably a less painful place to reside. A simple-minded place where everything wrong with the world can be blamed on one group he despises. Where his beloved Republicans on this board can be the sole defenders of the Confederate flag but all its defenders in the real world are suddenly Democrats, the very people he complains are trying to remove the flag from public properties in the first place. You can see how trying to maintain such contradictions would be too difficult to hold simultaneously any longer after a long life of philosophically trying to fit square pegs in round holes.
Yes, yes, I am aware that this final confrontation of Insipid's delusions may be irresponsible on my part because it is sure to drive him to a depth of ranting and sputtering not reached before, one from which his sanity may not be retrievable any longer, even by competent trained mental health professionals, since he will undoubtedly perceive my post as just one more command to dance for us. But I want to assure you all that it saddens me to see a man(?) reduced to the level of a ranting homeless person predicting the end of the world on a street corner, flailing his Bible and spewing all sorts of contradictory nonsense as though his life depended on it. (A level johnforbes tragically reached months ago, only with his ratty collection of old English poets he never understood.)
So I ask you now, Insipid, please don't dance for us like a mad man. Please, go to your mental health provider, your twelve step program, your voluntary commitment mental institution, whatever you do to desperately maintain some wispy, fragile hold on reality. But please don't let this drive you further into the abyss, that dark pit you have been staring into for so many years, dreading the darkness below. Dancing maniacally for us and calling names and ranting about how this "Lucky" character who owns you is not the answer. It will only make it worse.
