No it wasn't an attack, that's just your normal Chicago weekend, no story there move on.
Nine people were killed and about 50 injured in gun violence over the Independence Day weekend, despite beefed-up police patrols working 12-hour shifts on the long weekend.What Chicago needs is MORE black leadership with liberal values to fix the mess and good create jobs. It worked for Detroit.
Chicago, with 2.7 million people, is the most violent large city in the United States, dozens of small street gangs, and a pervasive violent culture all contributing to the problem.
"We can't blame this on the system or on the white supremacists. The people who do this this walks like us, looks like us and dresses like us. He lives among us," said Reverend Ari Acree, pleading for solidarity in the African American community to help find the killers.
In Englewood, one of the highest-crime neighborhoods in Chicago, police patrolled the streets in groups of five, during the day. At night, the neighborhood was full of police cruisers which were pelted with rocks and bottles as they drove through the streets, often accelerating away from crowds who would attempt to circle their vehicles at intersections.
