Bezos, Blue Origin, is going into rockets; they launched their first rocket successfully. The BIG DEAL is that the rocket engines are designed and made by the United States (and you thought they didn't make anything there.) The United Launch Alliance (ULA) gets all of it's rockets from Russia. The ULA launches all of our military satellites with Russian rocket engines.

Space X also builds their rockets in the US and had to sue the US Air Force for an opportunity to bid on launching classified payloads. Too many Air Force generals had been receiving payoffs or were promised lucrative consulting jobs. The Russian rocket motors are based on 50 year old technology but since there was no competition, US taxpayers paid exorbitant prices for the launches.
