Political discussions about everything

This was in the Police Chief Magazine.
The common reaction to a budget crisis is reducing personnel and cutting services. The focus of this article is to provide police agencies with an alternative to personnel and service reductions. This alternative could help the survival of a city and maintain or expand police service through generating new revenue streams as a proactive approach to meet the fiscal crisis of today and the uncertain future of tomorrow.

How to raise revenue streams for your local PD.

a. fees for sex offenders registering in a given jurisdiction,

b. city tow companies,

fc. ine increases by 50 percent,

d. pay-per-call policing,

e. vacation house check fees,

f. public hours at police firing range for a fee,

g. police department-run online traffic school for minor traffic infractions,

h. department-based security service including home checks and monitoring of security cameras by police department,

i. a designated business to clean biological crime scenes,

j. state and court fees for all convicted felons returning to the community,

k. allowing agency name to be used for advertisement and branding,

l. triple driving-under-the-influence fines by the court,

mm. resident fee similar to a utility tax,

n. tax or fee on all alcohol sold in the city,

o. tax or fee on all ammunition sold in, the city,

p. public safety fees on all new development in the city,

q 9-1-1 fee per use,

r. police department website with business advertisement for support,

s. selling ride-a-longs to the public, and

t. police department–run firearm safety classes.

By utilizing these methods the police force can remain at present levels if governments cut funds, crime drops or the population decreases in the area served by that PD.

Or, the time tested and successful tactics of sending officers out with a radar gun and a quota, and tagging taillights of cars parked near bars so cops driving around at closing time can dramatically increase the probably of a DUI stop.

I've never understood why our society tolerates drunk driving.
In my state you have to be caught three times before you pay any kind of price that begins to get serious, which means you have probably been driving drunk quite often.
In places like Norway it simply isn't done because the price you pay is so high. (And they have higher alcohol abuse figures than we do.)

Getting the police to focus on it, even if just to raise revenue, is a no-brainer and would benefit everyone.
Yes, even those who drink and drive. They would live to tell about how severe the penalties are.

In my State it's automatic 24 hours in jail, $5,000.00 fine, loss of license for six months and completion of a course. I'm all for locking up drunk drivers and throwing away the key.

Concerning PD's trying to fund their operations off of the bad guys rather than the tax payers, great! I'd love for them to step of the fines for speeding in residential areas, about two blocks from me a 6 year old girl was hit by a car speeding in the 25 zone because the car couldn't stop in time when she chased a ball that went into the street. The girl is now in a wheelchair for life. I see cars going 40-50 in the 25 zone some while texting, I'd love to see the PD running radar in my area.

Yeah, I'm OK with making those that play and get caught pay!

Wow Loser Lucky, I didn't realize South Carolina was so easy on drunks. Goes along with shooting people in the back I suppose. Or did you confuse drunk with being high? Given your well documented fondness for weed, confusion on your part is understandable.

Now the angry ankle biter will scramble out from under the bed, snarling and snapping, pissing on the floor and in general, put on his usual display of stupidity.
Dance little fool, dance.

The board being hacked is a fortuitous event that shows us exactly what the dimwitted reactionaries here are all about.
Here you see the proof that Insipid is nothing but a troll and kindred spirit to RealTool.
Earlier we saw that the most pressing political topic of discussion to johnforbes was a personal attack thread.

I post a serious comment, one that even agrees with Insipid, and what does he come back with?
Moronic trolling and blatant stupidity. It's all he's got.

It's bad enough that he's too stupid to understand (as anyone with a brain would by now) that I am not Lucky, but that he drops even the pretense of being here for serious political discussion should provide all anyone needs to understand the reactionary Right tools here.

They've got nothing.
They don't care if they are ignorant. They're actually proud of it.
They don't mind being tools of their handlers.
They have no intention of getting along or making compromises for the greater good.
In other words, they represent the future of America that they want to blame on liberals; the arrogant "I got mine, fuck you" bunker mentality and politics of a 'Christian morality' Democracy in decline.

Now let's sit back and watch Insipid flail about in his "victory dance" because he's been shown to be nothing but a douche bag.
Any wagers on whether his next knee jerk post will contain anything substantive? I'll give 10-to-1 against.

What? No takers?

^^^^^It sure didn't take long for The Tool to show up to lick Insipid's ass.

I wonder what Insipid eats that RealTool finds so tasty?

What fascinates me is that two men who are asses, regularly parading their pathological homophobia, are here constantly sucking each other's dicks instead of discussing politics.

Please take your dysfunctional bromance to a private chat room before johnforbes tries to elbow his way in for his share of the action and it really gets ugly.

I've never condemned Clowntoker for his deviant, dark, demented ideation.

Still, we would all like to see CLownsucker and Grog halt their sick comments.

The police magazine should be an inspiration to other public agencies. Finding ways to raise needed money rather than taking it from tax payers is what all public agencies should strive for. It's odd that some have no problem coming up with tax money to hire more people for education or any other agency but they get upset when the most important public agency (police) needs anything, so the police raising the money themselves is a wonderful plan.

I also really like the police are looking into more nonlethal weapons such as light to subdue a violent person rather than shooting them. Lots of good stuff, thanks for sharing.

"Finding ways to raise needed money rather than taking it from tax payers is what all public agencies should strive for."

^^^^This shows us who REALLY thinks public money is "free".
Nearly every suggestion in the OP raises money by "taking it from taxpayers" one way or another.
All this proves is that conservatives are fine with taking money from taxpayers, as long as THEY aren't the taxpayers you're taking it from.

Tool, if you can't read the list already posted, then what good is copy-and-pasting the list for you again?
I read it, I don't see any examples you claim are there. Care to point one out? I didn't think so, because you lied.

Justme thinks the government can be funded out of thin air. Even in Harry Potter they used gold as currency.

Justme is also the same joker who thinks the roads will be plowed and the vomit will be cleaned off the park benches by "volunteers."

I just want to know how you will get money to fund the government without any taxpayer support?
